- Is Hal carrying the entire scene?? bossman alone has half of CDL official viewership...!!!
-
I checked at that moment and he was like the 6th or 7th most watched channel on Twitch.
Just two years of Apex, one of those during a worlwide pandemic that sent the Apex comp scene to shit, and he was pulling more viewers than Shroud, who was playing PTSD simulator. Dude is living the dream
ID: gq7ofisID: gq7g5sjTo be fair, that worldwide pandemic likely worked in his favor significantly. Many channels have seen abnormal growth since covid started.

hes the face of competitive apex. if people hear there is a tournament on, they go straight to hals channel to see, and chances are hes playing in it, streaming it and contending to win. hes never "trolling" or not taking it serious. so its extremely dependable to find good comp content by going to his channel
just shows how important consistency is, in both his efforts and results
ID: gq6u2tgConsistency in streaming is big. Hal never plays other games and is always streaming 6+ hours a day. If you want value for subbing on an apex streamer he is the best value
ID: gq894u9Reason why Aceu blew up too. He was consistent at streaming apex every day when everyone wasnt streaming it anymore and it paid off big time for him.

Hal is carrying the NA Apex scene he always takes comp seriously also TSM comms are good entertainment even if you dont like him lol
Also most pros who stream get atleast double their avg viewers when they stream comp games , like shiv is getting 20-25K viewers during comp , so streaming comp is so good for growth as a streamer in APEX in addition to the normal rank grind !
ID: gq7tsveShiv is like the EU version of Hal lol

Na scene

Shiv was doing great too (during EU ofc). I don't know what he peaked at but he was at 18k when I joined the stream, and it gave me pause. I remember when I first started watching him and he barely pulled 1k.
ID: gq8f1tjWay before the ban and he’d curse and stuff, god he was hilarious.

Doesn't hurt that the official stream sucks.
ID: gq880rlMaybe it's just me, but the official stream is just too hectic. Having to keep up with all of the shit going on at once is kind of over stimulating. It's hard to get hard cuts to an already active fight, where just as you're grasping what's going on, it cuts to something else. You also lose out on the methodical parts of the game like rotations, comms, positioning, that give you an overall sense of why teams are doing what they do, which you get when watching just one streame
. -
Good for him, he's been by far the most consistent competitive Apex streamer since the game launched.
Whenever people ask him advice on streaming, he always says to set a schedule and stick to it.
-
Hal is definitely doing his part but nonetheless, I’m more than positive that if complexity streamed any of their tournaments, they would all be in the 15-20k range as well...
ID: gq6x2r7i am pretty sure monsoon will get atleast 5 to 10k viewers. Not sure about reptar or ishiny.
-
It's called Pareto Principle. Click any category on Twitch and you'll find that the top 1-4 channels alone make up a significant fraction of the total views. Hal is an extreme example of this effect.
ID: gq7ijkhThats not the point, there is a reason hal is at the top and not any other streamer. He solo carrying NA comp scene. CDL had 100k viewers for their frachised league with full org support... hal pulling half of that solo playing a qualifier for 6k dollars
