8 or 10-bit Color Depth on Xbox Series X connected to Samsung KS8000?

I have a Xbox Series X connected to my Samsung KS8000. TV details in the settings menu of my Xbox Series X shows my TV supports 4K 10-bit at 24, 50, and 60Hz, however the color depth wants to default to 8-bit instead when using Auto-detect setting in the Video fidelity & overscan menu. Should I simply change this to 10-bit to get the best possible video quality out of my games and 4K HDR Blu Ray discs?

Also, should I allow YCC 4:2:2 in the Video modes menu?

Thank you.

Yes, set allow 4:2:2. If you don’t it will go to 4:2:0 instead if it’s not available.

Set the colour depth to 10 bit and test your settings in the HDR Calibration settings or in a game like Ori and the will of the wisps or gears 5.

Your tv supports 10-bit. Set it to that or your colors will look washed out. Here’s a rather lengthy but information article on Chroma subsampling.
