ID: hsstmp8To be clear, it pretty much is a PC-only mechanic, because it requires you to input both a direct strafe (i.e. straight left or right) and spam forward - without letting up on the strafe.
To accomplish it on PC you typically bind forward to both W and Mouse Wheel Up.

How did he change directions instantly in the second clip?? He was sliding down the side of the gravity cannon, got shot at, and then just somehow turned completely. I would have ended up sliding into the team

ID: hsryqd2He tap strafed. Its a movement technique that lets you completely reverse your momentum, so you can do a 180 and keep moving at the same speed.

Watching this and thinking tap strafe needs to be removed is the equivalent of watching genburten and thinking aim assist needs to get removed
