Looks great! I was wondering if there's a way to improve the surface, like by sanding (?) (In german we would call it Schmierkeln).
ID: gq5hlhnYes, you can sand the printed parts, prime with filler primers, sand again (repeat several times), paint with brush/air brush/spray can, clear coat. It’s a lot of work but the finish can be whatever you want. And you can weather it to show some scuffs and scratches to add more story to it.
I design this in such a way that parts with different colors can be finished separately and then glued together. This almost always gets a better color contrast than a one-piece model.

So how would this design work? The red slide-button lets you choose the fuse delay, you pull the pin, then the part with the red button is ejected and then the main section is thrown?

Yeah, that’s like the size of a … big grapefruit?
The one I made is the size of a baseball because it’s less material more realistic.
