* Is this RAM fast enough?
* What Motherboard should i pair with my CPU?
* Which slot to plug the RAM into?
* Which SSD brand should I go for?
* This monitor or that one?
* Will this debit card work with this platform?
* Can my PC run game x?
* This game is blocked in our region, how can I legitimately purchase it?

Can someone recommend me a pc build ? Budget around 50k. ?
ID: gpmolkmUh, yeah sure. Tell me what your needs are

Is this build going to be okay for casual 1080p gaming:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper H410R 34.1 CFM CPU CoolerMotherboard: ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4/ac ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 CL16 Memory
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 CL16 Memory
Storage: *Kingston A2000 250 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Storage: Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 570 4 GB PULSE ITX Video CardCase: Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Gigabyte P GM 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power SupplyAny recommendations to change anything?
ID: gpha9ucYou can maybe go for a higher RAM speed (maybe 3000MHz instead of 2400MHz) and a PSU of lower wattage (550/650W). 750W PSU seems a bit too much.
ID: gpicyo2Can opt for a b450 motherboard (asrock b450 pro 4 or tomahawk max if you want something really good). Since you're not using any PCIe 4 components, this shouldn't be a problem. Get at least a 3000mhz ram. 750w is way overkill unless you're planning to upgrade to a 3070 or 3080 or other AMD alternative. 550w should be enough for this build.

Have GPU prices gone down yet? Aside from price, what's the buying procedure from Rashi/RPTech?
ID: gpicr8rNot anytime soon as for price and stock.
-
What motherboard would be a good pick for the 10400F and 16GiG or DDR 2400 CL15 RAM? Already own the RAM so can't change that.
Would love to keep my options under 20k for CPU and mobo.
ID: gpicpmxAny b460 board will do. Try b460m pro 4 from asrock.

Im not looking for an exclusive gaming laptop, just one that supports games along with other functions. I had posted this in
and was asked to post it here instead. For the past few years, ive been using this 4th hand toshiba laptop that is older than me and is slow as fuck. The os also doesnt support any of the latest video games and all streaming services show movies and shows in bad quality. It also crashesawhen i have more than one app running at the same time A few weeks ago one of my relatives said they would buy me a new laptop when i start grade 12. I started 12th portions last week and he is going to take me to buy it this saturday, in Chennai. I dont know what laptop will be ideal for me. Id like my new laptop to have lots of storage and it should run videogames like GTA V and Rocket League and movies smoothly. It should also be able to run more than one internet-using app at the same time (eg. google and teams). My budget is around 45000 to 50000. Any suggestions on an ideal laptop for me to buy?
ID: gpo784dThe new aspire 7 at 55k might be the lowest priced laptop with a 4gb GPU. Should be enough for your requirements if you can stretch your budget to 55k.
ID: gpm2t9aFirstly, there's no such thing as an exclusive gaming laptop (or desktop for that matter). A gaming computer is just a normal computer with better cooling and a graphics card. So it will naturally have other functions supported as well, this is true of almost any pc.
A quick google search shows that you need at least an i5 3rd gen with a gtx 660 to run GTA V at 1080p high - but I'm thinking an i3 10/11th gen could also get the job done.
With that out of the way, if you want a gaming laptop at 50,000, I very much doubt that you're gonna get a decent one, you'll have to settle for one with an HDD, amd gpu and cpu. Something like this or this. Later on you can upgrade the ram or storage as needed.

Desperately looking for a 1660 or 1650 super for my build as everything else is done and dusted. Couldn't find any for less than 30k. Any suggestions for sites to buy from?
ID: gpkif2bAlso I found some listings on RPTech. They are listed as "in stock" but I dont see any add to cart or buy option. Im pretty new to this website. How does it work?

How good is silverstone powers supply and is there a list for good PSU brands?
ID: gpwz46eGoogle ltt psu tier list
ID: gq39y5aBest if you google out the brand and the model number for reviews. Judge a PSU based on its OEM and reviews since most power supplies are made by oems. Some come with certain changes over the oem design since they also sell psu under their name like larger main capacitors.

Where i can buy 1660? I saw some yt videos they say it is priced at around 24krs but they are not available anywhere and i saw it at one site but it is available for 36k there.
ID: gpo6xxo1660 used to be around 17k, in the last few months prices have skyrocketed though, so offline markets and used markets are your best bet to get one at a reasonable rate. Try Techenclave.com

I'm looking for a smallish monitor with wall mount and adjustable hinge that has at least 120hz. 1080p-1440p only. Any brand/ model recommendations ?
This may be a dumb question, but I think my laptop fans have accumulated dust. a) should I open up the back to try and clean them, and b) should I use a blower or a vacuum cleaner to do the job ? The intake is in the bottom and the vents are to the back and sides.
ID: gpo6tu6Why small? If 24in is fine, then optix g241 or Acer nitro vg240y
Could do both so long as you're careful. Also if any of the screws on the back have a sticker / label on it, you'll likely lose warranty.

So I heard of undervolting CPU on this sub and I just don't know why had I not heard about this earlier.
I have an Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz, in my 3yo ROG laptop should I undervolt it? It gets hot but I never remember it being any cooler.
Also I'm convinced that I am gonna change the thermal paste. Are there anymore such small tweaks that I should perform?
ID: gpsh8v8I have an Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz, in my 3yo ROG laptop should I undervolt it? It gets hot but I never remember it being any cooler.
You can undervolt it if it's getting too hot. Check CPU temps under full load and then decide. If it's around ~>=90°C, you can leave it as it is.
Also I'm convinced that I am gonna change the thermal paste. Are there anymore such small tweaks that I should perform?
Clean the fan vents if you haven't already, try with fresh thermal paste and see if there's any improvement. Then you can further try undervolting. Replacing the thermal pads can also be done but make sure to choose the right dimensions and quality.
