- 'Watch Dogs: Legion' PC multiplayer delayed indefinitely due to bugs
-
Not gonna lie I forgot this game came out.

As someone who got uPlay+ for a month to play this on launch, I can't at all say I'm surprised by this news. Base game was in awful condition at launch.
ID: gq6pq0kYeah launch was a disaster.
ID: gq8q4knImagine playing WD and WD2 and not expecting the third installment to be an absolute dumpster fire.
ID: gq67lzpAs someone who got uPlay+ for a month to play this on launch
lmao
ID: gq6ahe4I mean, it's easy to make statements like this because the game is sort of a let-down, but one thing it wasn't at launch was buggy
-
Hasn't stopped them before
ID: gq8bt4jYeah. The game barely worked when it was release. Why should the multiplayer be any different?
-
It's so sad how big a flop this game was. Ubi really needs to rethink their formula.
All I want is a new spies versus mercs Chaos Theory style and I'd be happy. Instead they tease Sam in every other game.
ID: gq6842pMan as soon as I saw the trailer for this game I thought it looked cool but got a feeling it was a gimmick or would be a dud.
Such a bummer since really the idea is pretty decent.
ID: gq6h6h1Did they tease Sam in this one too? I just want my sequel to Blacklist to figure out who were the countries secretly sponsoring the Engineers.
ID: gq6yad9Check out intruder
ID: gq7o02fAt this point, I wouldn’t say they’re “teasing” Sam as much as they’re milking a popular and marketable character to increase sales on their other games.
ID: gq6n0qdAll I want is a new spies versus mercs Chaos Theory style and I'd be happy.
omfg, yes. People have been asking for this for a decade. Put a small team on it and knock it out.
Remember this fan-project version of it from forever ago!?
Never did get released
ID: gq6pkzaTo be honest I enjoyed Legion more than Valhalla.
Sure, Valhalla is a way more functional and "good" game but Legion was just silly fun.ID: gq6kmjgAll I want is a new spies versus mercs Chaos Theory style and I'd be happy.
Fuck you for making me remember such a good game existed. Now I need this.
Peak online coop was using in-game voice chat on OG Xbox Live and having your "presence" level rise when you talked.
ID: gq6zp3tSplinter Cell CT spies vs mercs is some of the most fun I've ever had in a multiplayer game. Would kill for a new game
ID: gq7749eU isoft just lost their creativity
ID: gq7lr7yIntruder may be the game you're looking for. One of the most fun games I've played, and very tactical
ID: gq8bq0bIt was a cool idea, but it was never going to work because it was 100% possible to just get a decent character, maxing them out, and then using them for everything. I finished 90% of the game with the starter character because he had a gun. Plus, it's hard to be invested in a game when there's no protagonist to relate to.
Neat idea. Terrible execution.

Hmmm has anyone noticed a pattern on games lately
ID: gq76dkdA sad part about growing up is that you have less time to actually play games, so a lot of what you know about new releases is when they messed up enough to be newsworthy.
ID: gq6qtmuin general or ubisoft game?
ID: gq7h45dGoing all-in on graphics, microtransactions and "player retention" to increase mtx sales? All while skimping on gameplay and quality, and launching with tons of bugs.
ID: gq8k6y8Microtransactions ruined games.
-
The “Bug” is that nobody is playing this game
-
Imagine how bad bugs have to be to delay, because companies ship some broke ass products. So this is just like pure crashing unplayable.
ID: gq6fpq9Why comment on the article if you're not even gonna read it?
ID: gq71s5uImagine how bag bugs have to be to delay, because companies ship some broke ass products.
They are delaying a release to fix bugs because they released a broken product?
So this is just like pure crashing unplayable.
If that's true, then that game is really fucked because absolutely no one is playing it.

Legion was probably my biggest disappointment release of 2020.
After them delaying the game release as a consequence of the reception of Breakpoint, to re-evalute the games in development in terms of innovation and quality, I hoped for more of both.
Particular the key feature, gathering a roster of characters with distinct different toolsets to creatively solve missions was really underwhelming. Most key progression improvements turned out not to be linked to the characters in use but your account, so the difference in how you actually tackled a given mission did differ very little regardless of characters used.
So instead of getting the Hitman on steroids I hoped for, it was just another carbon copy Ubisoft open world title.
-
The Easy Anti-Cheat used on Watch Dogs 2 lowered my fps by 20-30, so I think I'd give it a pass anyways.
-
i got this for free with my 3080, will probably never install it
ID: gq6gvroSell it for $30 and buy something better
ID: gq6h5edI burned some of my expiring reward dollars for it... I should have just got some coins for LoR to pay for future expansions.
ID: gq6sm5bI managed to play it for 10 minutes! And I live in London, couldn't even bother out of curiosity.
It felt like a clunky early-access game without a soul.
ID: gq6lg8bIn got it too and it ran embarasingly bad for a release title.
ID: gq76uadWeird flex but ok.
-
I did not even finish it, so boring !!!!!
-
WD2 multiplayer was trash. Hopefully they make this one better.
-
Man ever since Ubisoft left Steam they’ve been having rotten luck. Almost like karma.
ID: gq70nnyYeah they just had the biggest launch in AC history with Valhalla.
Shit just hits the fan without Steam , right my fellow cultmember? They gonna go bankrupt by next year! Praise Lord Gaben!!!
-
As someone who has played almost too much Watchdogs 2, how does Legion stack up?
Is it even worth to get or is it just more of the same?
ID: gq6zpftLegion is a lot worse in my opinion. London is fun to drive around and the ‘play as anyone’ gimmick is fun at first, but the game quickly becomes very boring and repetitive.
ID: gq8e67uIt needed an actual protagonist. I just couldn’t come to care about any of the random characters. Also driving always tanked my frames, which was annoying.
-
I forgot this game was even out, Is it worth it or its just as mediocre as the previous one?
ID: gq7c3r6I honestly felt like it made the first two feel like masterpieces. Legion just feels too safe and generic. The voice acting is downright awful and ruins any sense of immersion you're hoping for. I feel like they dumbed down the hacking even more so than the previous games. They really wanted you to focus on recruiting everyone but after recruiting three or four people I was done with that mechanic and just did the story which, by the way, was too predictable and depending on which character you're using in the final missions can feel silly. You'll have a villain trying to be too "Muahahaha!!" and someone with a terrible, terrible accent. Then the whole mission just feels lame.
ID: gq7k3pv2 was pretty good imo. for people who thought it was only OK or mediocre, legion makes it look incredible in comparison lol

I spent $60 on this game and came out feeling like a fucking moron. Remind me never to give Ubi games a shot until 3-6 months later when a general consensus is reached
ID: gq7p6dgThe consensus on that one was reached within hours of launch, not months.
-
Man all those years of development and the game still cane out the way it did. That sucks
-
Don't worry, it is on the roadmap, and AAA companies never ever cancel a roadmap of fail to deliver on their (already billed) promises. Wink wink.
-
A big part of the draw of the first two Watch Dogs titles to me was the multiplayer, and I say this as someone that has hardly played any online multiplayer games. The bite-sized multiplayer experiences within the single-player world helped set WD apart from the otherwise bog standard Ubisoft open world game mechanics that are otherwise ubiquitous. It's still shocking to me that Legion didn't launch with these included, though less so given everything I've heard about its launch being a buggy mess (even without including the multiplayer).

God damn son, the cyberpunk genre cannot get a break these last few years: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Watch Dogs: Legion, Cyberpunk 2077.
ID: gq8v5ujIf you have a mega PC cyberpunk is actually an amazing Deus Ex game, it's just not a sandbox at all.
-
but not delayed for consoles?
ID: gq66qqzNo it's not delayed for consoles, it says that in literally the first sentence of the article.

Laughs in Cyberpunk

I'm surprised the game came out and I didn't heard of the news. And I'm a heavy gamer often reading about gaming news and was curious about legion.
