Hey legends.
This thread serves to consolidate player feedback and issues with the newly released Thrillseekers patch.
As always, please post any bugs or issues that have come up with this current patch so that Respawn can help out!
Information that's helpful when reporting bugs:
What platform are you playing on? Which skin you were using? What were you doing leading up to the issue? Can you reproduce it? What are the steps? PC players - provide hardware specs, OS version, and GPU driver version. Did your game crash? What error did you get? Please include "apex_crash.txt" from your "Documents" folder. If possible, it’s great if you can capture the bug and submit that with your report. -

Since the collection event for Revenant I have been having an issue on PC where:
My game takes around a minute to get to the lobby. I'm stuck on a black screen with an Apex logo in the bottom right. Once in the lobby, when I switch to ranked (or any other game mode) my game immediately freezes After 30 seconds to a minute, the game will unfreeze and the correct game type will show and my character will be frozen while the background moves still, this is promptly followed by a disconnect from the servers with a Code:Net or Code:Wheel error. I have to then reconnect to the servers for another 45 seconds to a minute and it will finally load me into my game mode where I can ready up.This has the been the process I have to go through EVERY time I want to play Apex since I pretty much just play ranked.
PC Specs:
Ryzen 5800x RTX 3080 16GB RAMI'm hardwired and the game is installed on an SSD. I made a separate post here with a video of my issue.

Anyone else having issues with Apex ever since the Genesis update? It takes me like 10 mins to load only for it to give some error message before I try again and works just fine, also sometimes when I switch playlists my game just freezes and gives me an error

Out of any really popular game I've played, Apex has had the absolute worst servers.

I’ll give one thing to respawn. They are very consistent. 3 of the last 5 updates have been completely broken, 1 was taken over by a hacker and ring flares sucked.
It’s really hard to get excited for any new content when you have to wait for another update to fix the first one.

Like I understand not everything is gonna be perfect, mistakes happen, yada yada. But every update we’re expecting to be not working, and low and behold it doesn’t. Idk if the devs don’t care, or higher ups demand content they can’t make it time, or what. It’s a shitty reputation they are building that’s gonna lead to the death of a really good game.

This has been repeated billions upon billions of times but fuck it, I still want to throw my own vitriol to the fire.
Apex matchmaking is such utter garbage if you’re not playing with a trio party. Half my games always having missing teammates despite having “Fill Teammates” selected. Overwatch may be a “dead game” but it can still at least fill in fucking teams consistently.
If I’m playing Arenas and I have a missing teammate or someone who DCs later in the match, I should be able to leave with no penalty. PLEASE for the love of god make this a thing, Respawn…

It is honestly impressive how bad they are at deployments/QA.

I don't like these events being arena focussed. Arenas are fundamentally broken right now without any meaningful skill based matchmaking or ranking system. If I'm lucky enough to actually have a teammate (or maybe even 2 if I'm SUPER lucky), there's a reasonable chance that at least one of us is significantly out of their depth. I've seen many levels <10 and it's pretty obvious that they're not smurfing.
Why can't we have events that let you play either mode rather than try to force a single one? The challenges are good because they incorporate both modes but the badges have been arena-only and the bars have been set at a significant height, especially given the issues raised above.
I love the concept of arenas but the execution hasn't been great.

If you want us to play arenas fix the damn matchmaking cuz currently it's like: "oh yeah let's put lvl 10's against people who placed diamond last season, that will DEFINITELY make them think it's a great gamemode and they will have TONS of fun"

why the fuck are there so many afk players in Arenas? I'm on a 5 game losing streak because for 5 games in a row, I've had a teammate that is just afk the entire game. They aren't even disconnected, just sitting there with their hands down their pants.
I'm not sure how to implement this in a way it won't be abused, but there needs to be a mechanism where afk players don't ruin my winstreak, as it's beyond frustrating to get a high streak which is ruined by someone who is just standing there the whole round - something like backfilling with a new player (round wouldn't count as a loss for new player if they join late as compensation) or autoending the match on a draw if someone hasn't moved or bought anything for more than 1 round in a row

I'm sorry but at this point they are just taking the piss. You can't drop content every week and the state of the game is like a beta test. Not even FIFA is that bad. And is even more sad when this is easily the best BR in the industry

Im sick of sweating in this game, i maybe have a lot of lifetime kills, but that doesnt mean i wanna soloQ sweat against 3 stacked masters over and over, i just want to have fun :/
