Every time I encounter another player my game commits suicide

Does this happen all the time or seemingly at random?

ID: hi54guy

Whenever I encounter another player

ID: hi54zrk

Need more ram

3 : Anonymous2021/10/26 11:28 ID: hi3o6mw

I heard it might be sound problems when the game loads in those files. Try using different sound settings or disable steam audio. Might give it a shot.

ID: hi6220q

Woah, how do you do that?

4 : Anonymous2021/10/26 14:58 ID: hi4dsjx

CLEAR CACHE SON! At the launcher go to the drop menu on the right just a quick cache clear

ID: hi4rv1b

This will certainly help

ID: hi54q2j

I’ll try it

5 : Anonymous2021/10/26 11:05 ID: hi3m6se

Need more ram I'm afraid. Speaking from experience.

ID: hi45lna

16g of ram here and it still happens.

ID: hi46a91

I had the same problem I was at 16gb ddr4 2666mhz, my friend was at 16gb ddr4 w/ 3200mhz and didn’t have any problems. Once I upgraded to 32 (still at 2666mhz) it stopped. Check your ram speed and that’ll tell ya.

ID: hi3yscu

Yep had the same issue when I only had 8

6 : Anonymous2021/10/26 13:14 ID: hi3zkzg

Don't try to play DCS world multiplayer

7 : Anonymous2021/10/26 11:12 ID: hi3mtj0

Looks like a RAM issue

ID: hi3x2p7

everything in this game is a ram issue , even people with 64gigs get like 80% useage of their ram, tarkov is the game version of chrome

ID: hi3xuwu

I hear people talking about ram issues with EFT all the time.

I have never monitored more than 8 GB of ram ussage. Auto ram cleaner is turned off. So strange.

ID: hi4ukyc

literally no one with 64gbs is getting 80% usage from tarkov, stop making dumb shit up

ID: hi44xya

I have 16gbs 3200mhz and it never never uses more than 70%

ID: hi3yqie

No, this is a dev not optimizing their game issue. People shouldn’t need 32+GB of RAM to run a game in 2021.

8 : Anonymous2021/10/26 13:58 ID: hi459di

People talk about RAM gbs but never about their MHz or if they are ddr3 or ddr4. I run 16gbs 3200mhz and never had issues

ID: hi4603n

Yeah people end up throwing 32gb or 64gb of slow memory at the problem and still have issues. 16gb at 3000mhz cas 15 on a 7700k with no issues

ID: hi4819p

16gb at baseline clockspeeds are plenty.

Loading an XMP may help if it's in any way a ram related issue.

It probably just isn't though and people just like parroting their justification for spending loads of money on a 32-64gb kit.

There are guns who shoot with ddos

10 : Anonymous2021/10/26 13:52 ID: hi44egp

Damn that looks like.8/ .9 footage. Havent had that happen to me in years

ID: hi54oom

It has only happened to me during current update. Used to run like butter before

11 : Anonymous2021/10/26 17:28 ID: hi50clv

*Record scratch*
Yep, that's me. You're probably wondering how I got myself into this situation.

12 : Anonymous2021/10/26 14:07 ID: hi46jfb

epic thread. op says his specs are a "5700x with threadripper" and went AWOL from the thread. what a way to try to fix the issue

ID: hi4jspv

Well, he could be working or be asleep. But yeah, nice way to ask for help.

13 : Anonymous2021/10/26 10:55 ID: hi3levl

I had this issue until I upgraded my ram. 32gb is what saved me

ID: hi3u9s1

I'm fine on 16gb of shitty high latency ram

14 : Anonymous2021/10/26 11:33 ID: hi3ooh2

Try disabling post fx

15 : Anonymous2021/10/26 14:19 ID: hi4863w

This happens to me too

16 : Anonymous2021/10/26 14:37 ID: hi4aogb

yea for me i just lag out as soon as something important starts happening....yesterday i got god spawn in customs but it was a late spawn so people were already in dorms.....went in killed a dude....had to heal so i went into a room...saw a dudes flashlight in the hall as i was healing.....except he was walking in place and i was in an infinite healing animation for a good minute straight...lagging out randomly is one thing...but when it just makes you sit there unable to do anything except walk around for 5 min while you wait for it to ACTUALLY disconnect you is infuriating as all hell

17 : Anonymous2021/10/26 15:05 ID: hi4euwi

Left hand peeks never go well

18 : Anonymous2021/10/26 15:15 ID: hi4g9dq

I had this issue and it wasnt ram, it was CPU issues and the fact that I didnt have it on an SSD.

19 : Anonymous2021/10/26 15:40 ID: hi4k140

Clear your direct x shader cache before you start playing. Theres an Nvidia one and a disk one. Clear them both and run the game and you shouldn't have to deal with stutters like this. I played like this for a long time sadly

20 : Anonymous2021/10/26 16:03 ID: hi4ne5j

21 : Anonymous2021/10/26 16:05 ID: hi4nrtu

i was having the same issue with 32 gbs of ram on my desktop the other night just after this last update, idk what it is but it annoying

22 : Anonymous2021/10/26 16:31 ID: hi4rrac

Are you on a SSD or a HDD?

23 : Anonymous2021/10/26 16:33 ID: hi4ryn2

Update your graphic drivers

24 : Anonymous2021/10/26 16:52 ID: hi4uyq2

Sick pre aim bro. Lmao /edit Sorry I didn’t realize your shit literally lagged tf out for a sec.

25 : Anonymous2021/10/26 17:01 ID: hi4w960

This is my issue. 16gb of ram isnt enough these days.

26 : Anonymous2021/10/26 17:01 ID: hi4wbr1

Skill issue

27 : Anonymous2021/10/26 17:11 ID: hi4xslv

Up the ram, that worked for me

28 : Anonymous2021/10/26 18:06 ID: hi569r7

9/10 would have died anyways.

29 : Anonymous2021/10/26 18:28 ID: hi59je8

Definitely need more RGB.. Download 10 more RAMs and thank me later..

30 : Anonymous2021/10/26 19:28 ID: hi5is5p

I swear the client downloads textures and sound files on demand.

31 : Anonymous2021/10/26 19:31 ID: hi5j67k

I got the same issue as much that everytime I see a little frame lag I'm aware that someone is near me. This game is technically embarrassing.

32 : Anonymous2021/10/26 19:57 ID: hi5n8oq

Couple things to check - Run your task manager and go to performance and see what the GPU is doing during these stutters.

I had this and what was happening is the GPU was not being sent information from the CPU. Now this could be information overload, but regardless it was a CPU bottleneck that only appeared with 12.10. I replaced the CPU with one that doesn't bottleneck and I have not had a single stutter since.

GPU is a 1080, old CPU was an i7 3770, new one is a Ryzen 5600x

Other than that, it would be going through the usual checks of CPU temps. memory usage, what other things are running in the background. All stuff you have probably already done, or already been suggested.
