Where can I learn about medical items? I just went in as a PMC on Customs. Hearing shots all over. I sneak around and hide in a shack for awhile. Go to another shack for awhile. Try to go over and kill a Scav. Get one. Then I start getting hit by a shotgun from another Scav. I have no idea where the Scav was. I booked it out but now I'm injured and, of course, the extracts are on the other side of the map. I start going for it. Find a Morphine. Take it because I don't know what it does. I suddenly get the red borders and the veiny overlay like my eyes are about to explode.
Get to the Gas Station, take out another Scav. And then I die from blood loss or health loss -- whatever. That sucks. I got out with a few things in my container, but feels like a big loss. It's hard to survive. hahaha
I only have 2 raids during this wipe and I'm not good at this game but I like to sneak around and loot. I wish I could do it more without getting shot from unknown places.
Then I went in as a Scav and got killed by a player who came into a room with a machine gun compared to my shotgun. I had no chance.
ID: hkvxqr6ID: hkw2uazThank you. I appreciate your time for that. I'm struggling with my PMC. I seem to end up running into someone all the time who (probably) hears me coming and is waiting for me.
Customs, I just sat in a shipping container for several minutes until the bullets stopped. I decide I'm going back up the hill to go around the short way. Get to the top of the hill and there is a guy waiting for me. My pistol is no match for his assault rifle. Got out with a few things in my container, but still. Feels like I'm spinning my wheels.
Went in with a Scav and was able to extract with some good loot, but I get no progression out of that.

I need help with some low level quests.
Where are some good places to get iskra lunchboxes?
Also what’s the easiest way to do gunsmith 1. Should I barter for a shotgun from mechanic? If so where do I get the elite pliers?
Also I’m assuming for most early keys I just farm jackets and filing cabinets?
ID: hkvddgiThe lunchbox has a guarantee spawn on Interchange, at power station in a box in a tiny building outside. It's a rarely looted building so often will be in that box. GL
ID: hktn71jIskra lunchboxes has the 100% chance of spawn in specific black cube-shaped weapon boxes on Interchange (Generic shop, near camp in Goshan; use map to find those places).
About keys - you are correct. But better check gamepedia, cuz some specific keys spawn only (highest chance) in certain ca
/jacket.About shotgun - yes, barter. Check shelves in the back of Goshan. There are plenty of technical boxes and loose technical loot spawns.
ID: hku6nbqThere's actually a barter for elites themselves at mechanic 1 for common tools that gives you another option, as elites are a little rare (not lots but just a bit more than the regular tools). I find the loose loot shelves along the back of goshan to be the best, ie the Easternmost side between power and emercom
ID: hkup4dfWhat this amazing guy said (love your stuff btw)
Also just do some loot runs around woods and you’ll run into all the hideout and quest items you’ll ever need until kappa except for the reserve specific ones
ID: hktnoprNew player here, but I can tell you that I used to scav almost exclusively on Factory and Interchange. Factory because of the easy office exfil next to the filing cabinets and two jackets, and interchange because of all of the GPU spawns and what not. And lastly, the easiest way to do Gunsmith 1 for me was to search it up on YouTube and watch a tutorial. Just search Gunsmith Part 1 and you’re golden. I’m a visual and hands on learner, so reading vs watching and doing is night and day for me.
ID: hkug7scIf you're looking for safe looting iskras. The USEC camp in woods spawns them often.
ID: hkuwf09The Tarkov Wiki has all the quests and it's my go-to place for checking what I need to complete a gunsmith-quest for example. Instead of figuring it from the description of the quest, the Wiki shows exactly the parts you need.
Like here, Gunsmith part 1.
ID: hkvbw4wAll of the tools are pretty plentiful in the back of Goshon on the shelves.
Woods has great food deposits at the base east of the lake and the small town by car extract. Plus loose stuff everywhere else.

Do any of the NVG's give off light other people can see you with? Running shoreline at night with the cheapest one I could find (the one cam only one), I noticed sometimes when I entered a bush there'd be a light on the leaves closest to my head, is that coming from the NVG?
ID: hkug4btYes. But you have to be pretty close to see it. It only creates light on your face. The 'light' you see on bushes and stuff is the IR light for the NVG, which cannot be seen.
ID: hkurdbaSo I don't have to be worried about some guy in a bush seeing me based just on the NVG? I've been spamming it off and on cuz I keep thinking someone's just gonna see this greenish glow on my face

Bitcoin barter not resetting its normal ?
ID: hkvbecmIt resets it just takes a minute or two. Keep refreshing Mechanic or do it via the flea market screen.

Did they change the loot in Goshan? heard that's supposed to be a great place for Tushonka, but last 2 runs there haven't had a single one.
ID: hkwjrsoIf you are entering the store from inside the mall, it’s mainly on the far left storage racks, usually can pull 100-300k worth of food out of there.
ID: hkwndwvYeah pretty sure that's the corner I went to and checked out the others as well... they were offline raids just learn the layout not sure if spawns are at all different for offline vs online
ID: hkwlhx7Like the other guy said, there is one particular corner where tons of food spawns.

Do you guys set up different DPI mouse rates to use in game? If I use a setting that works for combat, my looting takes forever because the cursor is so slow. Advice?

In game when you tab to your inventory you can go to the Health Tab. It shows your current status effects. You died because you bled out. Bandages can heal light bleeds, hemostats heavy bleeds, morphine is just a painkiller(doesn’t stop bleeds). Things like your IA2 just heal limbs but don’t stop bleeds. Salowas and IFAKs can heal bleeds but at a heavy usage cost compared to just using them to heal limbs. Splints fix broken bones and CMS kits fix blacked out limbs. Long story short, stopping a bleed is really important and all you need is a bandage or hemostat/other healing items to stop it.
