Let me start this off by saying that I've been incredibly lucky in the start of this wipe, and have managed to obtain 2 found in raid RSASS. I found the first three days ago and thought that I wouldn't sell it, I'm going to need it for gunsmith after all. I did check the price on the flea after I unlocked it, ~450 000. Tempting, but no. Then I killed a player for another just last night and decided to sell the first one, but it turns out that I couldn't.
The flea was having some problems last night so I thought it was just a temporary hickup but it is starting to look like it isn't.
Why do I feel like this change was made as an afterthought to slow down progression? That would be fine by me, but... the fulltimers already benefited from being able to sell / buy one on the flea. Dayjobbers are the ones that suffer for this particular change.
Have you noticed anything else that isn't available to be sold on the flea? Aside from the things mentioned in the patch notes:

I understand the reasoning for most of these, but I'm pretty surprised the 5.56 mdr got banned. It was pretty much just a worse m4, but it was cheap and easy to mod which was the only reason I would ever buy it usually

In the past i could just ignore the Trader if i dont wanne suffer through the Quest, but now i dont have much of a choice if i want decent Armor and specific Weapons.
I get why they change things up, but i dont know if i like it overall. The Chads are already close to max Traders anway.

ID: hoxx940RSASS is only expensive on flea because of gunsmithing part 87 or whatever. They don’t want you to be able to buy it to get past that. Which makes sense imo, it’s so late in the quest lines that you should have plenty of time to check marked rooms.
ID: hoxzirzI don't remember ever seeing a RSASS in raid, so that's that quest out the window for me.
Edit: scratch that, one of the Trader sells it at some point. It'll get done eventually then.

ID: howvcivWell the M4 is literally a lvl 1 trader weapon as barter and lvl 2 as a money trade and you can get peacekeeper lvl 2 before flea so removing it from the flea is stupid.

ID: hoxg8w3The only way I’d reason it is that they banned weapons that would be exotic/valuable in a fallen Russian city. Like G28, Scar, MDR, RSASS are all very limited while ak’s and USEC M4s are more common.

A little confused why the 5.56 MDR isn't listable on the flea. I quite like that gun but don't consider it unbelievably good without expensive ammo. I can understand the choice to remove the 7.62 variant though.
ID: hoy9o78I feel the same. I love the baby MDR, but with what it costs in ammo to be effective I might as well spend a little extra and kit out an M4 which just feels superior in almost every way. The 762 is an awesome gun besides the 20 round restriction when you can run a few other 762 options with larger magazines. Even 30 would make a difference--if you're in a full auto with the 762 MDR you're basically spending half the fight reloading.

The KS-23, 9x39 SP-6, and BNTI GZHEL just got banned from the flea as well.
ID: hoy9saiI'm pretty sure the GZHEL was banned from the flea in the initial patch notes. It's one of my favorite midgame options and I remember seeing that.

ID: hoxsugePeacekeeper sells a RSASS after one of the quests, but it's really far down his quest line and requires max loyalty IIRC.
ID: hoypnd6It’s level 4 after Spa Tour part 6 or 7. That is easily a level 30+ quest even if you’re rushing Peacekeeper.

They literally do stuff like this every wipe. Have the flea or spawns or whatever "normal" then change it so it's harder so people don't "rush through the game", bit only after the people who rush have rush passed, and it only widens the gap between casual and play it like a job people

Well they just killed of the 7.62 MDR, not paying $1300 for it. The mutant is fine since it's usually the cheapest from skier but why both MDRs? Trader prices are already too high on like 50% of the weapons.
Edit: they need to decided what they're going to do with the flea soon. These changes only hurt casual players. It won't effect me as I play this game a ton but I can already see my casual friends getting angry about this.
I have no issues restricting the flea, but traders need to be heavily reworked then. I mean what % of the player base even hits level 40?
ID: hoya9ptSome of these traders prices are so bad... why would I pay peacekeepers 1300 usd for a lvl 4 osprey? Or 1300 for the scar h? You can get the same or better items from other traders for even cheaper.

I noticed that this sub seems to be very hostile to people who don't have the same amount of time to play the game as them so I doubt most people on here would even mind let alone think of this as an accessibility thing.

Well there is proof that slowing down progression doesn't work no matter what they do... I myself am already level 22 and I play a few hours a day. I constantly run into level 20-40 already with full level 5 gear. Even 2 of my friends at level 11 and 12 constantly run level 5 gear without even having flea market...

ID: hoy9fpcAgreed. I quite like the idea that a lot of meta and late-game weapons + ammo + gear are not listable.
So long as there are some buffs to RNG to help more average players be able to find some of them would be nice. I've only ever found one single RSASS found in raid in three wipes. Same goes with a single Slick in that period of time.

I play tarkov to have fun, to mod cool guns and do some operator shit. Hell we’re supposed to be private contractors. Instead I have a game that needs to be played 12 hours a day to be remotely fun.

This is idiotic, I am 100% for bringing back ancap flea with no FIR. Early wipe is the worst and just a slog to get better traders so that me and my friends can actually have fun with kit we like. Half the people I have encountered this wipe are friendly and are just trying to get early wipe hell over with.
