Is it socially acceptable to sit in a bush for 90% of the raid so that you can get your quests done on customs without dying?

Have scavs been buffed or am i just terrible at the game? Feels like im taking head-eyes from across the map
ID: hp4uyg1feels like theyve been buffed in the past 24 hours even more lol. They are kinda crazy right now. I got head eyesd by sniper scav the moment i peaked him a few raids ago. Didnt even have time to line up the shot.

Why do scavs and bosses dropshot?
ID: hp3wt1gNew silly AI quirk, they learn to run in certain areas to survive and apparently they've been programmed to learn that belly flopping can save their life for a bit, especially when they can apparently snap up instantly and do 8 360° turns before sprinting away.

They seriously need to do something about these fucking Gas Analyzer spawns. It's absolutely absurd. I have tryed numerous times to get them in Reserve and Interchange tech. Even customs greenscreen room. They either don't spawn in the raid for me, or some no-life with max endurance somehow makes it to the tech stores within 1 minute of the raid, leaving me to run right into my death. Everybody saying its not a big deal needs to play on actual populated servers.

just died and lost scav rep because some hostile scav missed his shots against me and i hit him first and killed him. then afterwards an A.I. scav kills me and I'm not allowed to shoot back. im so fucking immersed

How fuckin good are solo pistol runs though? Just take a pistol and a headset and work your way up. It really forces you to think outside the box and make creative solutions to issues like "How the fuck am I gonna get inside this building knowing someone with a shotgun will wipe the floor with me?"

Tonight a player dumped his mag on me while I screamed "stop I just wanna get out with my last salewa for my quest" and he actually stopped shooting, said sorry and offered me some of his meds.
God damn I love this game.

My dailies are fucking up real bad now. Whenever I try and accept them, I get an error (task not available). Also loading in the menu when buying from traders or doing anything really has gotten extremely slow, like 10 seconds for every action.
ID: hp7c1n7I think it’s just your old dailies aren’t technically reset yet. When you try to accept it and error out, you still get your 3 daily tasks

A PMC on interchange asked me if i wanted a gas analyzer and for a short moment i was very happy. He dropped it in front of me and then shot me in the head. If you read this motherfucker i hope your steaks are always well done.

around how long will it take to get accustomed to the game? i bought it yesterday but so far it has been REALLY rough. right now, im just trying to learn the interchange extraction points but im having difficulty doing so. in addition, i have trouble killing enemies. ive been watching a bunch of guides and the game is really fun but its frustrating not knowing where to extract and not being able to kill stationary SCAVs
ID: hp3rjuyProbably around 50 to 100 hours for the basics, it'll take longer if you're solo. Once you get the basics each new map takes a while to really learn.
Part of why the game is good is it has significant depth, but at the same time, it makes the learning curve pretty rough

ID: hp41o3wA lot longer than a day, really helps if you play with someone who is somewhat knowledgeable. I call my friend my Sherpa because I’m ass at the game/remembering what quest items to get.
ID: hp469p3If you are solo teaching yourself as you go (more fun I think if you are the type that can embrace the suck) prolly 4-6 months to feel like you are decent at every map. If you play with an experienced player who teaches you everything as you go you can get up to speed in a few weeks.

What the FUCK is happening with the colors in this game? For example, everything is black in broad daylight, or suddenly everything has a weird grey layer to it, like an unfinished texture.

Dude idk what is up with players this wipe, but you all must be the next coming of John wick because I have been getting head tapped every damn raid. Not to mention we are barely a week into the wipe and I'm already seeing most people geared to the tits like we were mid wipe.

Global Illumination issue.
Goto launcher, top right where your nametag is, click to view the drop-down menu and select Clear game cache, apparently that fixes it.

can someone explain me what is going on with shotguns? is it just me or they are just super weird right now? It looks like if you don't hit them just in their face you need like a full mag to take someone down. It just feels very different compare to last wipe to me.
ID: hp6h4srThey added damage drop off. You lose about 5% damage at just 2 meters with most shotguns.
IE Express shells deal 33.3 at 1.7 meters per pellet. People take express for that oneshot chance to the head. That doesn't exist anymore. And at like 50 meters you're loosing nearly 17 damage. That's half damage. Per pellet. The fact the damage drop off is instantaneous is actually stupid and needs some change. They should maintain damage AT LEAST out to 10-15 meters at a minimum. -
Damage drop off should not start until about 10 meters at the very minimum. It's ruining very very many important damage thresholds that absolutely balance guns out. It's destroying shotguns too.

ID: hp92zkhI was scaving interchange and killed a PMC near kiba who had just killed 2 other pmcs and 3-4 scavs.
Looted him and found my gas analyzer and a huge backpack. was making my way toward train exfil near the escalator when another player scav started creeping up on me, told him I was friendly but to kindly fuck off. He kept saying he was friendly but kept trying to get line of sight on me. Final just popped a frag at him and made a break for the door.
I’m not taking chances with other scavs when I have good loot on me. I won’t shoot first but I’m not letting them hit me first either.

The scavs are fucking INSANE. Bosses and boss guards are cracked out of their goddamn minds. Normal scavs have started shooting their crack and are landing 100% accurate shots at 200meters (measured, not kidding) with an iron sight SKS. This is just dumb. They know when you're aiming at them and pull 180's to kill you.

I love bashing this game sometimes and talking shit but I have really enjoyed coming back and playing again after a year long hiatus. VOIP is such a simple addition but one of the best additions I have seen in a while. I have encountered mostly good people, I may have executed 3 PMCs for pistol kills but I also covered a couple of randoms while they repaired the buttons on factory. It’s also nice to have a new map after so long.
Server lag is to be expected after a new wipe, nothing new with things and issues like this.

If I upgrade from Standard to EOD version, will I lose all my current progress such as level and items in stash this wipe?
ID: hpa1u47No you don't, you get a message containing all the extra items you get and all the other benefits are just added on top

The problem with using that tactic is that the map will be swarming with aimbot-9000 scavs late raid.
