- 1h30 of queue
- Servers on the knees since the event started
- People lost shit due to, again, the servers dying
- Out of nowhere you get a 20min queue to join a game, when the servers are supposed to be full -
I literally got 2 cheese for an epic and a 30k Ak for legendary. Not gonna waste my time muting a stream 24/7..
ID: hqurj4pID: hqutu87Dang, that sucks. I got a p90. It surprised me
ID: hqutimpEnjoy !
ID: hqux6xgI got 2x hmatches for a legendary one day... and 2x jars of coffee for a legendary another day....
-
The drops weren't even any good, unlike past events, and the legendary drops are impossible to get unless you use some sort of bot. No one can monitor their Twitch instance for TWENTY TWO HOURS. Insane.
And isn't it odd that BSG claims the backend issues have nothing to do with twitch drops? Would this not suggest viewbotting?
ID: hqunxzgI had twitch going for like 20 hours yesterday in order to get a legendary drop
It was 2 alkalis lol
It's frustrating but fwiw, at least on the east coast US servers, the queues say like 1 hr but I've been able to get in within 10 mins every time.
ID: hquqrs2I miss the days when it would autodrop shit into your inventory and it'd be like a key tool or something remotely useful
ID: hquixkmDay3 drops got alot better new scar and some other stuff as well.
ID: hquo8fuI got 4 oat flakes as a “rare” drop
ID: hqul58rI got splints and water filters
ID: hqun42kThey changed it to 17 hours for legendary and 20 for all drops, not much better but still something.
ID: hqunsinAnd isn't it odd that BSG claims the backend issues have nothing to do with twitch drops? Would this not suggest viewbotting?
What they say is just "technically correct" so it fits nicely into their corporate talk. The drop event in itself doesn't cause server issues in Tarkov because Twitch and Tarkov are separate services, obviously, but what it does do is massively increase the game's visibility, which increases player count, which increases server load.
ID: hqurr3jnot even with a bot you can get it. I've had multiple instances of the stream failing (needing a refresh) and that ofc doesn't count.
Chat was still going

I love the fact randomly it gives you the play button then you press and back to Queue...i mean WTF Bro
-
20min? It says 73k on queue 2hours stimated bro
ID: hqutz6dTarkov has more than one server you know right?
-
The game is literally unplayable due to server issues. Time to take a break.
-
but all the viewbots, ooops I mean "viewers" are putting Tarkov at number 1 spot on twitch. Who cares that the game is unplayable, however we will just give the streamers priority queue. They're the only ones that matter right?
ID: hqung8lI mean, I agree with the sentiment, but let's be real dude, none of those streamers are white-listed in a "priority que". Landmark had like 200k people watching his drop, and for a good chunk of the night he was playing Slither, or sitting in loading screens.
ID: hqut7e8Honestly his slither streams between raids are fucking hilarious.
ID: hquakanSpeaking of view bots. I was watching a certain streamer have over 200k views the other day and when he logged off they just vanished. The next top 3 Tarkov streamers views didnt go up at all. Where did those 200k people go? Made me wonder
ID: hquatj8Literally everyone is AFKing the streams with that drop claim extension. If they don't raid another channel those people are dropping until they come back and look at their screens.
ID: hquidmbAs one of the people afking that stream, i was asleep when he got off and didn't jump to another streamer until after i woke up
ID: hquqd7mThat's why I think it's kind of funny/sad that these streamers are getting so excited about the viewers, celebrating milestones etc. I get it a little but at the same time it's completely artificial and isn't really going to boost their future view count at all.
ID: hquqw21I literally watched Pestily play sliter.io for 2 hrs because severs were down lmao
-
All it proves is that there is a significant portion of the population who would literally viewbot the game for dogshit tier 'loot' that would be discarded for anything else even in a scav run.
ID: hqv4wblWell it's bonus not instead of the usual loot..
-
BSG thanks you for your money!
-
All this for garbage loot. I'm sure BSG is making bank though. Bank that they can take home instead of invest in themselves.
I don't mean to sound like a hipster but I miss late 2017 early 2018 when this game was still pretty unknown.

i get the sentiment, but i'm still glad that the game has gotten this much attention and popularity. it forces BSG to make the necessary changes and moves them at a faster pace, even if they are miserably failing to do so these days.

bro it has been 5 years of this shit.
i seriously doubt they care
-
I gave up on drops after 2 of them. You're telling me I have watch for 24hrs straight for a chance to get a decent drop? Hell no, twitch isn't paying my electricity bill. Not worth time or hassle.
-
Don’t worry, it has nothing to do with the drops. It just happens every year. During drops. Complete coincidence.
-
"its not the twitch event guys honest "
-
I thought it was over?
ID: hquf94hno, it will last only 7 more days...
-
They said it's not the drops specifically, it's the new players it brought
And new players is always good and healthy for a game in the long run so i guess it's only fair to be a little patient and let them deal with their servers being on fire. It can't be an easy job to fix that
-
72k queue with 2 hour wait time.
Fuck all the gas in my generator then I guess lmao
-
Nokia him self said twitch drops had nothing to do with it
-
Drops are indirectly effect the servers because of the influx of players. Not because of the drops themselves. You must not have played New World.
-
I hope BSG learns a lot from this shit show.
For one, they have a pretty rabid player base that just wants to play the fucking game, not necessarily watch streamers. For two, Tarkov isn't a "niche" game anymore. It's mainstream now (just look how AAA games are trying to replicate the survival aspects in FPS), so they need to think about what that means and spend some money on upgrading everything in the backend before teasing new maps and content.
Does anyone know what BSG's finances look like?
ID: hqulh0pThis shit happened two years ago, the first time they did drops. They aren't gonna learn a damn thing.
ID: hqun4v6They learned it makes them a fuck ton of money.
That’s it
ID: hqunp4hOkay but is that actually true?
Like, is Twitch just cutting a check to BSG? Or are you suggesting that the Twitch event made people buy the game?
-
BIG AGREE
-
you realize the 20min queue is because the game servers ARE full and it's waiting for old raids to finish up so it can spin up new ones to put people in... the 20min matching times isn't because it's failing to find players, it's due to max capacity
ID: hquk46kNot that queue. The queue to launch the game.
-
I stopped watching when my second rare drop on the third day was three LCD screens.
Take the LCDs and ram em BSG.
-
The event ensures that BSG can make more money, as well as expose issues that otherwise would have gone unnoticed.
This event and others like it provide opportunities for BSG to fail and learn from their mistakes. I'd take this over the game having a mediocre playerbase and eventually dying with no way to play the game in the future.

people got hunter-matches and non-armored rigs as legendary... xD i did not even left my pc running the second night after i saw what people got as drops
