Pestily channel removed from yt due to TOS violation

1 : Anonymous2021/03/12 06:51 ID: m3c1kh

Its as the title says. Anyone know why?

2 : Anonymous2021/03/12 07:00 ID: gqo0ieo

You are the lucky winner. Redirecting traffic to this thread as we don't need 50 of them to talk about this.

3 : Anonymous2021/03/12 07:12 ID: gqo1ddt

Shit. Now I'll have to play tarkov instead of watching pestily play it.

ID: gqoby3g

He was my motivation. "If pestily dies all the time then it's ok for me to die all the time!"

5 minutes later

"I fucking hate this game and myself"

ID: gqoguph

Yeah this was the best part, seeing him go off completely and he still gets tarkov'ed pretty hard from time to time made me feel so much better about playing this game! I really hope they can resolve this real quick.

ID: gqo69j3

Ahaha this is so true

4 : Anonymous2021/03/12 07:02 ID: gqo0o32
ID: gqp35mr

"Spam, scams, or commercially deceptive content"

Looks like all that tarkov prime trolling finally caught up to him. /s

ID: gqoqvv6

Have you tried searching "Pestily raid series season 3" on Youtube? The results are just some half naked woman now. I wonder if someone hacked his account?

ID: gqoxx21

That's literally just one user's playlist and a video thumbnail. All of Pest's videos are gone.

ID: gqow8fm

Half naked? That string barely passes as clothing.

Someone needs to outcompete YouTube, because why would they get their shit together, that costs money.

ID: gqoej7d

Someone needs to outcompete YouTube

YouTube is well into the "too big to fail" territory, and there's near zero chance of a competitor springing up because of the absurd network and infrastructure requirements needed to compete. YouTube is over 15% of all Internet traffic, so any competitor would need to have billions of dollars of capital to even come close, and this would be true even if they went with Amazon AWS to host it rather than setting up their own metal.

ID: gqoft31

youtube being too big to fail is right

ID: gqoly7a

the only companies in the world being able to pull this one off on the same level would be

amazon

msft

facebook

Baidu

and the effort needed to move enough marketshare to anything new would mean no ROI for years and years.

ID: gqo9zbq

No need to outcompete Youtube but normal users should abuse the system and submit fraudulent claims against channels that submit fradulant claims.

For example: CNBC News Channel copyright strikes Pestily and has his channel removed but all those strikes were false. Users now submit strikes against CMBC New Channel and have their channel removed. They will kick up a bigger fuss than any other Youtuber can which will result in Youtube making changes to the system to only allow "verified" claims be approved instead of a "X claims within X time = auto takedown"

Fight fair and lose or fight fire with fire.

ID: gqogm29

That's pretty naive thinking, we all know YouTube will add some kind of special "verified" status reserved for only the biggest YouTubers or institutions like news networks.

6 : Anonymous2021/03/12 06:52 ID: gqnzx9v

Probably fraudulent copyright strikes. We'll see it back in a couple days

ID: gqo12rs

Team FourStar had their channel completely removed because they received 4 unverified strikes. 3 verified is enough to remove a channel, because they broke copyright 3 times. But 4 claims made in a matter of minutes took down their channel, and almost didn't let them get it back at all.

YouTube's system is broke, copyright is broke, actually enforce fines for false claims.

ID: gqo5wc8

A completely different channel that I sub to got a strike because of the sound of a toilet flushing. Just shows that the system is a little flawed.

ID: gqo883h

I worked with a UFC athlete for a few years, we went to college together, and we got a 3 strike on our Instagram of his OWN CLIPS. Took weeks to sort out, and it ended up it was ESPN being scumbags. The model being used by all these shitty sites is insane.

ID: gqoe5fa

Literally just have a £100+ deposit for each copyright claim. If the claim is proven to be true, you get your money back. If it’s false, the person you claimed gets it as an apology for the stress and loss of income. Make them think about spamming out false claims but don’t make it too punishing for smaller channels and media who can’t handle the large fines that would actually hit MSM hard.

ID: gqo64ou

Take a look at this video. I thoroughly recommend watching as much as you can before you get too bored.

ID: gqoaa2l

Like the ones Nikita sent out against several YouTubers that spoke out about what BSG admitted to a year later?

ID: gqo0184

Man youtube sucks

7 : Anonymous2021/03/12 08:33 ID: gqo6t22

meanwhile full body nudity by pornstars is all good because its 'promoting health and wellness'. Search nude yoga, all over youtube.

I mean, im not complaining, 13 year old boys on the school computers should have access to tittays in the library. but still. reinstate pestily.

ID: gqocejt

Holy its real! Man if I was 13 again.... LOL

ID: gqocjfb

just visit a pornsite...

8 : Anonymous2021/03/12 10:17 ID: gqocyju

It's amazing that YouTube still autobans these channels regardless of how many viewers. Don't you think that having 100k+ subs would justify a human review of the case?

ID: gqouiy9

But....but that would require humans...

shivers at the thought of disgusting humans

-Robots in charge of youtube.

ID: gqor5f9

Nah. That’s too much work. /s

9 : Anonymous2021/03/12 10:17 ID: gqoczjr

Dude gives millions of dollars to charity for kids in hospitals

And YouTube boops him. This better be a mistake

ID: gqoftpa

Eh, I am in a circle that got 20+K in donations on stream in one night to St Jude, got their channel terminated and the donations refunded. Letting the kids die is youtubes motto.

10 : Anonymous2021/03/12 08:49 ID: gqo7ryj

A bunch of channels have been getting banned recently for seemingly no reason. Someone at youtube HQ must’ve fucked up the algorithm or somethin.

11 : Anonymous2021/03/12 07:02 ID: gqo0obu

dude this is some bullshit hes like the most wholesome guy ever and he has a non dmca playlist like wtf i literally just got booted from one of his videos

12 : Anonymous2021/03/12 07:12 ID: gqo1eme

That sucks, and he is saying they didnt give him any warnings or anything prior. Out of nowhere, youtube sucks sometimes.

ID: gqocj18

youtube sucks sometimes (X

youtube sucks all the times (V

13 : Anonymous2021/03/12 11:30 ID: gqohiaw

...But I was going to crack straight into it this morning with some straight forwards pathing...what do I do now?

14 : Anonymous2021/03/12 08:50 ID: gqo7u8u

TeamYouTube is looking into it.

ID: gqo96cz

Almost as if channel deletions should be done manually and not by an algorithm

ID: gqogcm3

Especially for channels with millions of subscribers, lmao what are they thinking? No one will notice?

ID: gqom9b5

I think you underestimate how many people use YouTube. It would be impossible without some automated system.

ID: gqoh2c1

I find it extremely bad that you need to turn to other unrelated social media and hope you're relevant enough that you get the attention of the @teamyoutube. A channel should still exist in a visible but suspended state until a human can verify the claims

15 : Anonymous2021/03/12 07:02 ID: gqo0oao

YouTube sucks ass but its the only thing we've got.

16 : Anonymous2021/03/12 10:31 ID: gqodsrp

YouTube is cancer

17 : Anonymous2021/03/12 07:19 ID: gqo1u9n

I was halfway through today’s hardcore episode 😛

ID: gqof3ay

I was lucky and my broswer had the rest of the video chached. I wanted to leave a comment but I couldn't so I refreshed and poof it was gone 🙁 I hope this is resolved and it doesnt affect him

18 : Anonymous2021/03/12 07:30 ID: gqo2nxk

It is what it is

ID: gqoisab

Pathing was pretty straightforward. Spawned in, got banned without warning, entire community got super upset.

ID: gqo7mzk

Before this gets downvoted into oblivion, it's a self created meme of his from his RAID series.

19 : Anonymous2021/03/12 07:25 ID: gqo2afd

Was watching and for a second thought he had blocked me or something, felt a lot more likely then it getting taken down while I was watching. Never seen a hint of anything that would be even close to bannable.

I'm guessing fraudulent copyright reports or someone's fished his password and deleted it.
