Im sorry you had that experience. I can't imagine that this gives you a great impression of the game. It happens to everyone but its particularly tough when you are trying to get started as a new player.

Usually extracts bug like this when the servers are about to go under maintenance or shut down. Did this happen yesterday when they were doing maintenance?

No, the extract just got broke, most of the time this happends due to tarkov puting you into shit servers. In some cases you might have to wait few seconds, in other cases you might need to find another extract, or atleast that is how i understand it. It happend to me today, but extracted by force closing the game, and re-joining.
Also you will get better soon. You just need to play some more, and the most important thing is to not rage after you die with nice stuff.

Ive had this happen to me when i was under level 10 with a fractured leg and bleeding out at the RUAF road block on Customs... i then had to limp all the way to the trailer park

Only time it hasn’t extracted me there was when another player ran down and i was fighting him, had to kill him before it let me extract, not sure if that’s on purpose or not though
