Well this explains it, I got this as a scav and thought the top of my thumb was the sight but it looks like it's clearly about an 1.5" above that

You also buy it from a trader like that lol. Same with some other guns like the ADAR, it only comes with its front sight/gas block. Seems like an oversight by BSG cause I'm otherwise unsure why they'd do this

If I'm a random untrained guy just scavenging for whatever I can, I probably don't know that thumb-over-bore handling is even a thing. It feels really unnatural to begin with, especially without a sight.

I think it is probably because there are no "default" irons specific to that gun.
You have to put on irons yourself if you wanted them

Not enough of a C clamp, real operators keep their fingers in front of the muzzle. It results in unbelievable accuracy due to the fear of shooting one's fingers

I had 1 scav with it. Ran to an extract immediately... then proceeded to literally get my dome blown off like 5 feet from the extraction point by a player skav.
Pissed was an understatement.

Thumb-over-bore (c-clamp) is an actual technique and is surprisingly good at helping to control muzzle climb. The issue is that there's no sights.

This is a real thing people do to control muzzle climb. It’s called a C-Clamp and people tend to do them with an actual scope and not guns without a sight.

Using MOE handguard, its not a bug its actually called c-clamp and lots of trainer people use it to help the muzzle climb

I'm pretty stoked that it spawns on scavs though. You can pointfire that thing like a paintball gun and have no issues. At least the Saiga-9 has fixed irons but I think it's a fair tradeoff to remove them from this gun as it's all around better.
