What are some good starte

Any AK platform you can get from a Scav (or your Scavruns)
VEPR Hunter. The Rats dream gun.
You can get an MP5 from Peacekeeper for 8 of the brown handle knifes. The MP5 is pretty nice with and without mods.
With modding, try to unlock the Flea market first since the modding with LL1 Traders only is pretty limited.

I've done like 10 customs runs looking for Rashala for Jaeger quest. Go to dorms, new gas, and crack house every time. No spawns. Extra depressed. Why EFT.... WHYYYYYYYY!

I was recently a doubter, but I gotta say — the cheats are getting a little bit out of hand. Not talking about random one taps, but two raids yesterday and today come to mind.
First one, I got tagged through warehouse on woods and saw a ton of tracers going through the wall. Wouldn’t be a LOD issue since there were three walls (front, side and back) and the warehouse always loads.
Second was on customs. Again, getting shot at through a wall with PS ammo.
Both standard accounts. Recent ones name was “luckiswear” or something similar with a number.

Aww man, I've been running around 15 reserve runs to kill Glukhar, haven't seen him a single time, checked all the spawns, pulled lever etc. Just tried again, was at the storage area and thought I heard some sounds from the black/white knight yard, I look around the corner for a second and eat a tracer right to my face from one of he's guards. Still haven't seen him.

died on a scav, screen went black but got no post-death screen. instead i'm just laying here listening to everything happen around my body lol. I heard them loot me, eat some canned food, then get killed by another player. happen to anyone else? almost thought they implemented unconsciousness lol
can't esc to open the menu either.

I'm ready for an AI overhaul. Been casually trying to kill Sanitar over the last couple of weeks for a quest and this bish has my number. He typically has his AS VAL with BP rounds and one-taps me in the chest through hexgrids and slicks repeatedly. Tonight he got me twice. Once was across the road north of Pier, and the other was in Pier while only being exposed for less than a second to locate him.

I just wish EFT was trying to be slightly less "video game" centric. If I take 9x39 BP ammo and try dropping a PMC in level 6 armor, I am not killing him in one shot to the thorax. Bosses should not be able to, either. Make it where their recoil control is good, but not an unrealistic laser. Make them aim for the head. Give them great armor you need to beat to kill them. Lilla is by far and away the best designed boss, even though he's a slidey aimbot. I know it's not the approach EFT is going to head, but one can dream.

I usually don't get pissed of by bugs/weird stuff in this game, but this raid I was on woods, trying to get Tarkov shooter 8 and I managed to get 2 PMCs with a fracking VPO-215 with a cobra sight close range. Then I get kicked out of the raid due to bad connection and once the loading screen is done, I cannot reconnect and I lost my kit + loot. Health down evenly, which usually happens when you get MIA and stuff. Slightly frustrating.

Just bought the game and I constantly keep getting disconnected from server. I have a good internet connection and have no problem playing other games. Anyone got a solution?
Edit: thanks for the help guys but it seems to have fixed itself on its own

I swear I’m hearing footsteps on wood that aren’t actually there, especially on Shoreline. Either that or I’m encountering SuperRats that can silently dip across the map in the 5 seconds it takes for me to get the source of the sound.

Why everybody is talking about a 'near in future' wipe when nothing is announced? -
I definitely cant play factory. I spawn like 5 seconds late into the match and get blasted at spawn. There are already footsteps on me when the screan lights up.

Bsg nerfed the production time of the bitcoin. Increased all the prices for the hideout based on the bitcoin value wheb skyrocketed and now the bitcoin is worth 240k but still all the rest wasnt fixed.
Im happy they changed the bitcoin value but why dont they fix all the rest around it to make it balance around this value?
ID: gzhxc8dEveryone says don't make a Bitcoin farm as a new player but I got mine up and running 2 weeks ago and while I'm not rolling in rubles like others might have been previously, I am still making money if I at least log in daily. With 10 cards in I still am making about 80kR a day off a Bitcoin - fuel.

ID: gzf6vm0Which one? Are you sure it wasn't a grenade? The most expensive round on tarkov-market.com is going for 60k each (the 338 Lapua Magnum AP). As for why it's so expensive: it's found-in-raid only (can't buy it from dealers or craft it), and will kill any player with one shot to the upper chest or head, through any armor. Even then it's incredibly impractical. More of a status symbol than anything else -- it is not normally going to be profitable to shoot this round.

How do some people play this game with regular earbuds that you plug into your phone?

It's the servers you play on. Certain west coast servers that let Chinese and Korean players connect are full of hackers all the time. I put those servers on again last week cause I was lagging on my normal servers: head eyes from nowhere 4 games in a row.
Once I turn them off, I'll run into a hacker maybe once a month.

The final release of the game has a totally different vision to what we currently have, according to the developers.
Right now the game is in a testing loop where we're basically playtesting different parts of the game.
I think they want the final game to be open world where you travel in between areas (maps) and visit traders in person.
Not sure about v0.13 though it seems a bit further off than that. We'll see.

Tarkov is a beta for BSG's main Project Russia 2028 which is supposed to be an open world game. I'd say they could introduce the mechanic but it wouldn't make that much sense to be honest.

Advice, dont spend money on it, not right now. If you do, dont buy anything but the lowest.
Dont be fooled by the devs, the game is still in alpha state even though is says beta.
They still have a long ways to go, and while the mechanics and a lot of the games functionality is great, there are a great number of core problems with the game.
if you get frustrated easy you may want to stay away.

Ah, there are some areas where there is truth in your statement, some mechanics need work. That being said, I love the game and have certainly gotten my (full price) money’s worth many times over. If $45 isn’t going to break the bank, the game is worth it. A trial key would be interesting, I feel like if you had 10 or 20 hours to make a decision, you might not like the game. There is a steep learning curve that takes time to overcome but is very rewarding when you do.

The game is in a testing loop. Just bear that in mind. That said I've only ever seen the game go on sale directly via their website. If you wanna play this game while it's being tested then you have to stump up the ~€50 to do so

What's the range of shotguns? Can I kill the scavs on the following picture? (scav at sniper roadblock and sniper scav at military base checkpoint; I'm the yellow star)

I recently hit level 32 endurance, and when I take a meldonin (+20 endurance) I get level 52 endurance rather than elite level. I thought max level was 51 so I'm very confused.
Can stims not provide you with temporary elite skills?

Because most people are high level and bored (except for new players). Wipe usually comes with a new map or expansion, and adjusted game mechanics.

They only announce wipes less than a week before they happen and everyone is ready for the next wipe.

My launcher has been saying critical update everytime I open it for a while. Been meaning to reinstall it because it's annoying and I know BSG isn't updating it everyday.
