- Technically I didn’t *need* these, but y’know what, why not….
-
How is 9? I played it when it originally came out and am so hazy on the details of it that I would like to play it again.
ID: hcbpfukID: hcbp7tjAmazing
ID: hcbswq29 is my fav it returns to old school nostalgia Final Fantasy. Great characters and design
ID: hccvz05I utterly adore it! The only problem I have is a really small one - when you hit ‘continue’ it starts you from the last screen you entered… even if you saved since entering that screen. So it’s possible to lose a bit of data by continuing… which is dumb

IX box looked incredibly good I need to get my hand on that even though I have like every version of it
ID: hccwaxdIt looks really nice between the Switch 7/8 and the X/X-2 boxes!
-
Yes... you did need these
-
I do need these...where were they found?
ID: hcc3f57Dunno if you’re in the US, but I purchased them from Videogamesnewyork (all one word). Best indie game store I’ve ever been to and their online store is pretty expansive as well.
ID: hccbpn9Playasia has them though they are not exactly cheap for being PS1 games.
-
I have the original PSX versions, The Switch versions, and the Steam versions (modded). I'm an absolute madlad when it comes to FF remasters and re-releases. I own 4 different versions of X, X-2, and XII (PS2, PS4, Switch, and PC)
ID: hcchknnThis sounds like me. Have to get every version, lol.
-
These are region-less right? I'm in NA and keep going back and forward about getting these instead of just buying them digital on the e-shop. I mean I own so many versions of these games but the portability of the switch is speaking to me.
ID: hccrpqrCorrect! Most import games on the Switch have an English language option as well.
-
Of course you need them! Then the physical versions of X, X-2 and XII! And then join me in praying that they bring the XIII trilogy to the Switch
ID: hccwil3I have the physical PS4 copies of X, X-2 and XII
-
Man, they could've been more creative with that FFIX box art. It's not doing itself any favors being horizontal like that.
ID: hccrlfwYeah it bothers me too!
-
The best way I replayed 8 was to avoid every battle and only play the card game. I forgot how unfun and broken the battle system is. Just leave yourself at low health to limit break every turn of a boss and junction magic.
Also fuck the person who decided you cannot pick your own team to fight the final boss. The game randomly picks characters you have to use.
ID: hcchhp3RE the final battle, If you let them die off and don't revive them for 3 turns, you can have them replaced. That way you can kind of pick your team, though.
I can sort of dig it. If you have good limit breaks for all of them you can at least exploit that if you want to replace them and let them die off.
ID: hcd7t2d8 is probably the least "broken" of the 3 but is certainly the most accused of being broken on here.
FF8 made people think they weren't grinding when they absolutely were.
-
I know I have IX digitally on my PS3 and Switch, but I’d still want to get the physical Switch copy.
-
FFIX is totally worth it.
-
It's a rule that you need them on every gaming device you have
ID: hcd4iajI currently have VII on my PS5, Vita, and now this. And it’s not even my favorite!
-
I want 7/8 so bad but not $50.
-
the only one left for me to have all mainline ones that are available for Switch is X & X-2
-
I have lost count of how many times I've bought 9, but it probably borders on the number of times Todd Howard put out Skyrim.

Sacrilegious to say, but 9 is my favorite of the series. It certainly has its flaws in mechanics, but I love the story, setting, and characters.
