I would like to know because I have amour slots with auto haste and auto Phoenix auto protect and ribbon I don’t know which one to remove I want to keep auto Phoenix and auto haste

Break HP limit is unnecessary in my experience. I’ve beat penance twice and never needed it.
Auto protect and auto haste are crucial for penance. I’d say given the health that auto protect would be the better option. However, it depends on what you’re now fighting.
If you’re in the arena and dealing with ailments, it’s ribbon.
Generally speaking, I’d go with auto protect since it’s easier to farm items for (light curtains).

You don't need Ribbon for Penance if you take the arms out in the way you're supposed to. BHPL is only good if you have 99999 HP (or 50000 and you use Stamina Tablet/Spring). I did Penance with BHPL @ 99999 HP, Auto Haste, Auto Protect and Auto Regen armor. I used Trio of 9999 with Rikku and used Pray once whenever I needed a heal. Alternatively, you could use Auto Potion, Auto Protect, Auto Haste, Auto Phoenix and use a Trio of 9999 so every potion full heals you- but I didn't like not having 99999 HP on my screen since I worked so hard for it, lol

This an age old debate with many entries on gamefaqs. BHPL is fun and all but can take a lot of work grinding up your HP, beating Penance and all other Dark aeons is entirely possible without it. Definitely keep auto haste, auto protect and ribbon, 4th slot can be auto potion, auto Phoenix or bhpl. BTW, you can't selectively remove 1 of the 4, you can only add new ones to arnor with blank slots
