- A small Imperial outpost.

Clicked expecting Star Wars, but was not disappointed.
Nice work!

I had some free time yesterday afternoon so spend some time expanding a small MOC.
I have been trying to improve the towers.Does anyone have any tips for not making boxes?
ID: gq4llbiA couple things come to mind!
I saw a tutorial for a similar type landscape on YouTube, I can’t think of the creator but he is young and makes a ton of cool MOCs. He used a few cheese slopes inside the walls of the fortress, facing sideways. As long as you have a stud on either side, your next level will connect, but you’ll get a gap from the cheese slope so the wall looks damaged.
Second is to expand the top platform out by 1-2 bricks, use some snot bricks underneath the platform along the top edge vertically, then snap on some curved bits with a 1x1 inside so they connect. You can see this on the Ollvander’s building in Diagon Alley!
Lastly I saw using a hinge and the flat 2x2 stud connector, then build off those. You can make a ramshackle destroyed part “lean” this way, and if you alternate the hinges on your levels, it can “sway”. Ollivander’s chimney is built this way.

Like the pathway and also how the beaches look! Very nice!
ID: gq4e2dyThanks man.

These were some of my favorite sets as a kid back in the late 80s/early 90s.
-
Yeah.. I want this!
ID: gq4tdscI would 100% buy a kit of this
-
Is this based on the Pirates of Barracuda Bay set?
ID: gq4gso5It didn't start out like that, but I did shamelessly rip off the water, sand, and animal.
-
Never had any of the pirate sets but got a fair few of imperials and pirates from somewhere
ID: gq4e64lMinifigs can turn up in random places.
The documentary "Toy Story" shows how.
-
Would buy.
-
I want them to make a new series of pirate sets so bad. This MOC showed me how much I want them to bring pirates back. Awesome MOC, I love it!
-
Oh man, that thing is beast to say the least.
ID: gq4puifCheers mate
-
Loving it! Also love you took over the style of barracuda bay (like the water and sand plates)
-
Looks fantastic! Which empire?
-
Didn't know Luke Skywalker and Qui Gon Jinn were with the empire. Great work though!
ID: gq4ur19Undercover agents.
Thanks man.
-
Really digging the brick effect on the corner and the cobblestone pathway. Really nice job using color and texture to break up the flat surfaces.
ID: gq53r2qThanks man.
I haven't worked out a way to make buildings that aren't square yet. So having detail on the wall has helped a lot.
-
OK, I give up, where’s the stormtrooper?
ID: gq53lmpHe is undercover.
-
Very cool.
-
Pretty rad cove
on Lagoon Lockup!ID: gq6yihhI wasn't originally going for a lagoon lock up style but it came out well.
I might have to make some more additions to move it away from that look.
-
Nice job! I love it. I really like the castle theme.
-
Wonderbar!
