I still haven't found the right build yet.
ID: h4ntmfcID: h4nv7pxis it just fact that trickster is the hardest (therefore worst?) outrider character to pick? Seems like every other character is a lot more forgiving. Trickster you basically have to have every single piece completely 100% optimized.

mod, increased FP), twisted rounds (15% FP, good for 2 mags), tempest blade (increased dmg, 20% cooldown, the armor boost per affected enemy, and 2 uses per CD). Using the deathshield with fortress and killing spree as my mods and im usually the highest DPS with 100+ mil and absorb anywhere from 750k-1.5mil dmg per expedition -
Honestly it's that helmet that ties it all together. Seems like every firepower build without it either falls off or dies of ammo related mistake

ID: h4p5773I use the Chronosuit because I can’t get Ugake Cowl either. (I also can’t get the Chronosuit Suit helm.) It works really well.
It’s better in single player for me though. Mostly because I try to keep borrowed time active all the time. I use mods with it active; Gunshield for damage and Death Shell: Borrowed Time for defense. I try to only use Borrowed Time for an emergency refill because usually Ammo Bargain keeps my ammo full but not as much in multiplayer.
ID: h4ntqipI ran a firepower trickster build with bulwark and NO fortress and got gold ct15 on everything but BoomTown, Paxian, and EoTS. The helmet was the last piece I got for my build. Which allowed me to clear those last three. All solo of course.

Funny because as an AP Trickster, I scrap everything that has bonus weapon damage. Playing with bullet builds is just the most boring playstyle in this game

So it's not just me. I love trickster but the builds seem so tedious. Most stuff benefits firepower.

change bonus firepower to anomaly power and this would fit my pyro PERFECTLY (it also fits my pyros first build which was volc rounds, back when perm uptime was doable)

I've been doing trickster with gear focused on anomaly power and cool down reduction.
Weapons with anomaly enhancement and perpetual momentum.
Skills twisted rounds, borrowed time, and venators knife.
Skill tree focused on maxing out anomaly power and buffing armo
with borrowed time (bottom tree)Whenever I play solo I just feel like I can't kill enemies fast enough because I have no real area of effect skills. I am a shotgunning monster, cutting things in half with shells, but there are soooo many enemies. I can kill a captain in 6 shotgun shells, as long as I hit head shot every time, but it's so slow killing each individual creature, I can solo at my level, but never finish fast enough to get even bronze.
Every gold I have ever gotten was with two other people who had area of effect skills. With twisted rounds and perpetual momentum I almost always have a higher damage output compared to team mates, but they kill soooo many enemies (especially technomancers) it makes me feel like maybe I've sacrificed too many titanium shards on this build.
Anyone have any suggestions? Should I be running a firepowe
build instead? Will it even make a difference since tricksters have no AOE skills?ID: h4ojt5b.. I don't really understand your build. If you want to play as an FP Trickster, why choose Armour that boosts your AP? Choose pieces that boost the base of your Fire Power, also, if you want to play with weapons,, I think the top tree is the one to go with. The bottom tree is for when you play as an AP Trickster - I use this tree because I specialize my Trickster in killing bosses pretty much One hit now. I just feel like, you tried to mix these two ideas into one and ended up getting the worst of both sides. Boosting you AP in a Weapon build is pointless
ID: h4okvw2Time rift can give decent AOE, IF you can get the T3 mod Pain Transfer and combine that with T1 long range. It’s pretty good for controlling mobs.

Started Trickster in the demo then went Dev for launch. Levelled the other two classes before coming back to Trickster and was stunned by how much more difficult it felt. Finally settling into some progression with the cliche Rounds/Shotgun/Top Tree build. Running Time Rift (Pain Transfer, Long Range, And Another One, Double Time and Geiger's Wave), Hunt the Prey (Instant Reload), and Twisted Rounds with no mods. Firepower, C/D, and Close Range and a mix of mods to boost damage and armor to help out with Fortress. Running Funeral Pyre as my main with Fortress added and I've been sweating my ass off trying to beat even CT12s but it is FUN. Ammo management will keep you on your toes without the 2nd mag of Twisted Rounds, but I like the challenge. I just don't have the drops and pieces I need to fine tune it and I don't want to use Moaning Winds Cheese so I'm enjoying the grind, more or less.

Just can't do expeditions that have the flying enemies on. Annoying as fuck, apart from the Strix or whatever they're called, you can HtP behind them, not the birds though.
ID: h4ogrghI find the strix more annoying than the birds tbh. At least the birds project their attacks and you can avoid them while waiting for them to land (or getting a good hit on them as they fly over so they get stunned and land). Strix are my #1 priority when they pop up because they can ruin you without warning from across the map and even up close they can turn on a dime and whip you on your ass and make you vulnerable, especially when you HtP behind them and aren't able to kill them before they get out of stun. They are the absolute worst.

Haven’t played this game since the month of launch did they finally fix everything?
ID: h4ouv91Not everything, no. But they've fixed a ton with more on the way. (New patch next week and another one shortly after that, maybe two weeks or so) If trickster is your class and glitches put you off and you're waiting to get back in I might give it until the patch after next. They're working to fix the egregious trickster stuff but it just takes time. Still though, even with the occasional bug I think it's been worth it, for me.

I've never had trouble with trickster fp build and most of mine is non legendary t2 or less. Yeah the stats help but CDR shud be prioritised over CRD. The hunt the prey+TR+borrowed time seems to be the easiest way to keep up the special ammo but I use the rift+tr+hunt the prey build. I believe Laserbolt was the 1st to do a build and share it using right -youtube it as 'laserbolt fp trickster' and it melts faces fast

All I’m waiting for now is that ugake’s cowl.
I got dark sacrifice, the time rift mod for hitting multiple people and stare into the barrel all last night. I’m not feeling as lucky for the last one with 60 unique armours still to get.

Trickster is the only way to go! So glad my first play through was as a trickster. To be fair I still haven’t played as a technomancer.

More like anomaly power, skills life leech, cooldown reduction, and a mod that fits the build lmao. Bullet builds are boring. Way more fun to just slice everything.
