I guess SE praising Outriders as a success was a very general and broad statement.
-
Is this normal for publishers to hide relevant information from developers in case of royalties? Or did PCF really signed a very r-worded contract?

What the hell is r-worded?

This announcement didn't go over well.

No wonder its been a disaster post launch
ID: h9a9854I guess this also covers the question 'will there ever be dlc.' Very likely not, considering even 4.5 months after release PFC still don't know how much money they will actually make.
And them talking about going into self-publishing now doesn't paint a picture of a happy PFC-SE relationship:
ID: h9akscvWell was SE the ones who said "this game is always online" because I really think thats what causes a lot of the bugs. So maybe if self publishing means an offline game im good for that

ID: h9advdiI got hundreds of hours out of the game. Suggesting they shouldn't be paid is asinine.

Good thing, this game sucked dead ass

Royalties for what ?
ID: h9a6fgiBased on sales numbers. And SE doesn't give those sales numbers to PFC.
ID: h9bjws3They gotta make enough money to recoup the publishing costs, otherwise PCF doesn't get paid.

No idea what the deal might be with some small indie developers, but this is a self-proclaimed AAA developer working under Square Enix and they painted Outriders as a success story. Seems all very fishy...
