Battlefield 2042 delayed to November 19th
2 : Anonymous2021/09/15 20:36 ID: hczurg9

Bold strategy to come out two weeks after Vanguard. You know some EA suit in a board room is gnashing his teeth over that one.

ID: hd08qu9

Between cod and halo. Cod being the largest seller because of name. And halo offering the stuff you have to pay for normally for free

ID: hd1b5np

Eh. I think the goal here is for BF to release a game that's good. If they release first and it's bad, it will be easy for users to switch to Halo or CoD. Being the best of the 3 will be the most important imo.

ID: hd0llv6

Vanguard meh. The new warzone map with anti cheat that comes along with vanguard - there it is. They better hope its not as good as everyone hopes or they wont want to stop playing

ID: hd0ywbp

The warzone map won’t come out for a while after vanguard releases. Otherwise nobody would play the base vanguard modes.

Every single game delayed lmao these companies need to stop with the release dates

ID: hd0ui39

All of these companies are setting goals like it’s 2018.

ID: hd0t0n7

That's what happens when the project managers are just a bunch of business graduates that know nothing about programming.

ID: hd17nh1

They make record profits for the business year after year, that’s why they do it, you think the company would rather have a delayed, polished game or billions of dollars?

They’re not Nintendo

ID: hd1neqw

Yes, because the estimates that programmers give are always 100% accurate and are never ever at fault.

ID: hd1fjd1

That's what happens when the project managers are just a bunch of business graduates that know nothing about programming.

if only it was this easy to be part of that team this subreddit really knows nothing about business XD

ID: hd1m40o

know nothing about programming.

if it's getting delayed it's not cuz of programming, it's cuz of QA

ID: hd0ypcd

After cyberpunk I’ll never pre-order again lol

ID: hd0r4e5

Based Miyazaki once again shitting on other companies

4 : Anonymous2021/09/15 20:12 ID: hczr5gn

Only a month, not bad.

ID: hczsfpy

Where have I seen this before? Oh right the last BF that came out...

ID: hd13w97

Its also happened with lots of games that turned out fine. The technical test was fine when I played it, I'm not too worried.

ID: hczx58w

'Member all the times Cyberpunk was delayed? Oh I 'member

5 : Anonymous2021/09/15 20:18 ID: hczs4xy

So november 12th for the gold edition i assume?

Time to cancel my planned day off on the 15th

ID: hczufl3

This reminds me that a lot of people on Reddit were saying how they took the launch week off with vacation days in their excitement for the new BF. Well wonder what they do now.

ID: hd0s7g6

Call their boss and reschedule their days off. At least it's honestly that simple for me (not that I took any days off in the first place though).

As we get closer to an actual launch and the date is more certain, I'm sure there's a chance I'll take the day off. Worst case scenario is the launch is a buggy mess and I have myself a 3 day weekend.

ID: hczteh5

never book the day of for a live service game. there will guaranteed be server issues.

in the case of battlefield 4, i don’t think i was able to play an actual unbroken game until two months after release.

edit: i mean you can, but don’t be surprised or mad if you can’t actually play it on release

ID: hd0crg1

You're spitting truth friend, BF4 was one of my most hyped games and the actual launch was such trash. The Beta ran fine on my PC at the time but then when it came out the absolute state of that game was abysmal.

6 : Anonymous2021/09/15 21:06 ID: hczzb79

Is it any wonder.

This year has been an absolute shitshow, at least it's only a few weeks.

Although I do wonder just how much they expect to achieve in such a short time.

ID: hd1lwjl

They are pushing it the furthest they can while still remaining in the holiday period. The chance if it being in a bad state right now is pretty high

7 : Anonymous2021/09/15 23:46 ID: hd0kkj8

Battlefield 2077

ID: hd1t7kw

Please no!

ID: hd1v8op

Oof that hurts 🙁

8 : Anonymous2021/09/15 20:14 ID: hczrjfh

Did seem kinda weird that it was 5 weeks away and we hadn’t heard or seen anything new about the game. Hopefully we get a beta sometime soon

9 : Anonymous2021/09/15 22:06 ID: hd07qo2

I’m not surprised, there was no way EA was going to release it on the same day as this juggernaut.

ID: hd0vw16

And instead they chose to release on the same day as the latest Pokémon! Speaks volumes to the power that Peppa Pig possesses.

10 : Anonymous2021/09/15 20:19 ID: hczs8ne

Eh not that big of a deal, only a month long delay. Though now they're competing with launch of CoD a week or two before them which probably isn't good for sales.

11 : Anonymous2021/09/15 20:27 ID: hcztglb

Why are we here? Just to suffer?

12 : Anonymous2021/09/15 20:44 ID: hczvzfu

stinks but not something im worried about. got other stuff to play in the meantime

hell i even picked bfv back up a few weeks ago and have been liking it

13 : Anonymous2021/09/15 20:18 ID: hczs2lk

Kinda okay with this though am looking forward to it, too many games coming soon for me atm.

14 : Anonymous2021/09/15 21:15 ID: hd00ihw

Has the beta happened yet? Did I miss it?

ID: hd031lm

No they haven't announce date even

ID: hd16wtu

Rumors were Sept. 22. Not sure now though

15 : Anonymous2021/09/15 21:28 ID: hd02c0n

Hopefully it's still $30 on Black Friday lol

16 : Anonymous2021/09/16 01:08 ID: hd0uz58

Well that's rather disappointing. This feels like its probably not in a good state so they're moving it back a month to make it playable. I would rather them delay it 6 months and have a mostly functional game.

17 : Anonymous2021/09/16 01:48 ID: hd102z0

Peppa Pig was too much to compete against

18 : Anonymous2021/09/16 10:53 ID: hd2awob

Red flag #1

19 : Anonymous2021/09/15 20:57 ID: hczxv6v

Darn. Oh well, guess I’ll be getting the Peppa Pig game which does launch on the 22nd of October, yay.

Can’t say I’m too surprised and/or bothered though, lots of games have been delayed recently. A month ain’t even that bad tbh

At least I got a little more time to get lucky and manage to get my hands in a damn PS5 now though lol

ID: hd03pd0

The biggest issue that I have with Battlefield or any game like it is that whenever it launches, it will probably be a mess. I’m looking forward to it and want it, but quality improvement will probably occur after it’s been out and in the hands of players for a month or so. It seems very unwise to buy it day one.

In regard to Oct, I’m looking forward to Far Cry 6, Monkey Ball, Guardians of the Galaxy and Nickelodeon Brawl. Riders Republic and Back 4 Blood are on my radar but I played both betas, and while fun, I don’t want those games day one.

20 : Anonymous2021/09/15 21:21 ID: hd01flj

Deja vu for me,after pre ordering Cyberpunk last year

ID: hd0d6ue

Not the best sign..

ID: hd0llyl

Remember, no preorders.

21 : Anonymous2021/09/16 03:37 ID: hd1d7ce

Hopefully comes with gyro aim at launch

22 : Anonymous2021/09/16 04:24 ID: hd1i49b

Delayed by a month? Lack of gameplay? European devs fucking off to vacation (understandable) after mid December for a month? I am really concerned for this franchise now

23 : Anonymous2021/09/16 08:22 ID: hd20owq

Funny how after Cyberpunk every company now does these neat little themed cards as a basis for their delay tweet of shame
