- God of War Ragnarok's Thor Is The Peak Of Male Performance, Powerlifting Champion Says
-
He's cultivating mass
ID: hd1gg5oID: hd0454uStop saying that dude, and if you are stop cultivating and start harvesting!
ID: hd15en3YOURE TURNING IN TO A CHIMICHANGA!!
ID: hd260kuhis fatness is starting to effect our entire crew
ID: hd3a7afYou want some insulin, dude?
-
Thor almost drank the entire sea of Midgard, the dude isn't gonna be slender
ID: hd29lyyHe once ate an entire ox along with eight salmon and washed it all down with three barrels of mead
ID: hd2hca1So Thor eats as much as yo momma. Got it.
-
“Powerlifter Thor” is honestly the best way to describe his look
ID: hd0lb77Halfthor Bjorson mod when???
ID: hd1bs4nMartins Licis is more accurate imo.
ID: hd2fojyFirst thing I thought was 'older, fatter Modi'.

This is the ideal male body. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like
ID: hd1yw8yWhen i heard "peak male performance" my head immediately go to this meme
ID: hd4df5bThe full quote from the article leads me to believe that the power lifter in question is slyly referencing this meme:
"Like it or not, God of War's Thor is the peak of male performance," McCormac told The Sixth Axis.

Makes sense to me. I started running (and eating less) and lost 50 lbs. Overall I feel much better but I can’t lift nearly as much as I used to!
ID: hd0cac9Same here. Used to train a lot before the pandemic and haven't done a true lift since February last year. Been just eating healthy and some everyday activity and have lost 30lbs the past 12 months. I really do feel that my muscles have weakened over the course of the pandemic. I don't play any sports anymore though so I'd rather keep losing weight than being able to bench what I used to
ID: hd0mxg1Body fat does not directly make you stronger. Anyone who thinks this is categorically mistaken. Muscle moves bones. Not fat.
The only way that fat tissue can strengthen a human being is simply due to the extra work that different skeletal muscles must use in order to carry that body around through their typical daily activities. That means that a fatter human walking around will naturally develop stronger leg musculature.
This will not result in appreciably greater strength in the pectorals major muscles (chest muscles), which are the primary movers in a bench press. This is because a heavier human doesn’t often have to push themselves up from a prone position; typically they’d use hip flexors and abdominals, in conjunction with momentum to raise themselves up, and then stand up using their legs.
ID: hd0u7odTrenbolony sandwiches my fren.
ID: hd24evtThat's because you need to continue lifting, not just run and eat in a deficit.
-
This is true, don't let the gut fool you.
ID: hd327jcLook at what the Mountain (Game of Thrones) or what Bane (The Dark Knight Rises) looked like. Yeah they had a belly, but that was because that was pure fucking muscle. They would snap a bitch in half.
The gut is to provide them the core strength to do insane lifts.

Til I’m the peak of male performance
-
Honestly he fits his lore, Thor is strong as fuck even by god standards but his appetite is just as massive, of course he'd have some extra heft to him.
ID: hd1b6k1Especially if he feels like he's already defeated all of his enemies and has grown a little lazy or glutenous as of late.
-
Peak male performance, indeed
ID: hd09srfIt all makes sense now.
ID: hd0kw9jYou might not like it.
ID: hd1y7pwHahaha jack black can really move considering his size
ID: hd299ddNow I'm sad I won't ever see him replace Chris Hemsworth...
ID: hd071reJack Black’s humor is underrated.
ID: hd24fowIs it? Seems like he's been enduringly popular for the past 30 years.

Thor is a Mad Chad Dad that wants to avenge his kids.
-
if you think this bodytype is "fat slob", you have clearly never stepped foot inside of a Golds Gym lol
ID: hd08ynzDef not fat slob, but powerlifters don’t exactly prioritize cardio.
ID: hd266h8That's how the boss fight will happen: we will have to run circles around him for 2 min then bash his head while he is nearly dead from lack of cardio
ID: hd1aky8Nobody looked like this when I went there
-
Tis true. Sounds like a boss that we'll have to time our moves correctly for as Kratos is more agile. Then again, Thor can fly lol.
ID: hd02pqkThor can’t fly in Norse mythology. He has a Santa-like chariot to get around. So it should be a hell of a fight.
ID: hd0hi9lOh really, wasn't aware. Is it similar to what Kratos was using in the recent trailer with the wolves?
-
Kratos: "Challenge accepted"
-
What is that actual complaint? I haven’t actually seen the first hand criticism, just everyone talking about it.
I’m not saying there isn’t any, I just haven’t been on Twitter in a while.
-
My cousin does strongman competitions and looks a lot like a black version of that body type. I like to mention him when talking about the Kingpin in Marvel also. He’s like exactly what I would expect Kingpin to look like. He’s about 7 feet tall, wide as heck and can probably flip a truck by himself.
-
Personally I don't think it matters. Thor is a god so I assume he'd just have superhuman abilities anyways. Look at Baldur. The guy was a twig and he punched Kratos 50 feet in the air and at least twice as far away. And if you're a god and you'll have that kind of power anyways, why NOT indulge your hunger?
-
I just wish they gave him the slightest hint that he has pecs under those moobs. And maybe a touch of body hair so he doesn't look like a new-born.
-
Butterbean Thor
-
Thor pounds horns of mead and eats two entire goats for dinner. Guy’s both fat AND ripped.
-
Basically fat Thor from Avengers Endgame
-
I think what everyone seems to be forgetting is that Thor is literally a god. He is not a human man and therefore cannot be held to human body / health measures. He is powered by magic. There's no reason to assume that his physical appearance has any bearing whatsoever on his abilities.

Try to move me bro.
Also maybe it's to stop cultivating and start harvesting.
