I know that third party websites sell them. I've seen videos on YouTube that the faceplates from Wish & Aliexpress are bad quality and bad color quality.

I just asked my uncle who’s the head honcho of PlayStation when they’re going to release official custom skins and he told me “soonish”

I got mine from a local shop, it is actually pretty good quality and looks amazing next to my xbox. PIC. My advice is look through ebay and find one from a trustworthy seller and give a shot.

They could have made so much additional money with that, don't understand why they don't sell those plates. In the mean time i got used to the white color, so i don't want to change it anymore.

Painted mine day one with black fusion paint. Haven’t had any problems or smells. $5. Just make sure you do multiple thin passes over the course of a few hours and not one thick layer.

Here's my all black PS5. Got the plate for $35 from Amazon. Excellent build quality and dbrand matte black front skin.

PS5 should maintain the white aesthetic. It’s branding. It’s like white AirPods. Stay the course.
Moreover, white is better as you can’t see all of the dust particles on it. Too many black consoles. Looking at my Series X, which I do think looks cool, you can see the dust particles all over it due to static electricity.

I'm in the UK and got some very good quality ones off of Amazon for about 30 quid. Very happy with them.

Midnight black face plates with black dualsense and PS5 red power indicator lights (instead of white) would look sick

I'm still holding on hope that some collector's editions will have plates, specifically for Gow. Although i don't think it's hard to find plates somewhere else?

Check NASCompares YT channel, he's got it all black and more. In some of "QA" type of video (recent one) he linked where to buy all of the custom parts he has. I don't know about quality, I'm not into that, couldn't care less about a console casing.
