I barely played Death Stranding but I am more than happy to pay £5 for this.

ID: hdrmeqgMight advise you go into death stranding kind of expecting something slow and chill. Its not really for everyone anyway but I feel a lot of people expected something a bit more intense or action oriented. Death Stranding's fun isn't "fun", its more immersing yourself in its world alongside a well thought out, satisfying progression of unlocking new gadgets and stuff to make its deliveries easier.

GT7 (24th anniversary) pre order for example, $89.99 in the US.
£89.99 in the UK (do they know that USD to GBP is not 1:1 ratio?), so that work out to be like $122.78

And then it depends where you buy from tbh. You can regularly get new games £10 cheaper if you shop around. H:FW is £70 at game but £60 at simplygames, same difference for Returnal etc

How will this work , will I have to put the disc in and it will give me an option to upgrade in game or in ps store ?

ID: hdqa1nnWhen GoT came out a couple of weeks ago I just clicked on it and it automatically gave me the upgrade price, but I had to stick my disc in to accept it.
ID: hdr12vmID: hdrbp4vPut the disc in, let it install if needed. After you should be able to go to the PS store and find the deluxe edition. When looking at buying options there will probably be a 'free upgrade for PS4 owners" or something like that (probably won't show up unless you have thr game downloaded). That's how it went when I upgraded FF7 remake to the PS5 version.

I can’t wait to play DS with the PS5 upgrade. I bought the game from Best Buy for $20 a month ago, but I never opened it.
ID: hdrg1o6I bought it back in 2019 and played for about 20 hours. Just stayed in the first area doing all the optional deliveries I could before progressing to the next area. It was so addicting to plan your routes, which equipment to bring, avoid BTs and human enemies, stay clear from the time rain, not to mention the satisfaction of actually managing to deliver a whole lot of stuff without damaging it. The graphics and atmosphere where out of this world!
Had to put it down because I was pretty busy with work and college, but it's probably the most unique game I've ever played. Now that I have much more free time, I'll definitely go back to it on PS5.

ID: hdr6hquIt's also just a super relaxing game. Once I had beaten the game I just spent time finishing deliveries, trying to get max stars at each base. It's a nice zen game.

I'm sorry to ask a (probably) dumb question, but I own the PS4 standard version and want to ultimately upgrade to the director's cut PS5 version, but saw no upgrade in the PS Store. Is there such thing as a digital only upgrade (own the digital PS4 version and have the digital PS5) or am I mistaken?
ID: hdqrwt1the upgrade path for digital users (or ps4 owners in general) is currently locked, they have said that once it releases you’ll be able to go to the store and select that 10 dollars option, just don’t do anything right now

Can people ELI5 why isn't everyone just buying the PS4 disc game and then upgrading for £ 5? That's much cheaper than buying the PS5 disc directly (albeit maybe less neat/elegant?)
