That's completely meaningless without a point of reference
ID: hhnfdkpID: hhnvz0aI don't even remember what the AF stands for anymore, so I'll call it that as well.
ID: hhmt47yIt was 37ns L3 latency yesterday when I tested. I mostly put it for the people with these types of processors so they're sure it still gets patched.
ID: hhn5ogvWhat version of Win11 are you running--the 22000.282 build, the beta build through the Insiders? That one is supposed to have been patched and it would appear to have been fixed as you say. But I'm running the advanced Dev channel Insider's build, 22483.1000, which hasn't been fixed. I don't know what Microsoft is doing about this, frankly. The Win10 Insider's wasn't this messed up insofar as rolling out the patches.
It's weird--with my build, one day I got 11ns--thought it had been fixed--tried again a couple of hours later and got 31ns-36ns, every time!
EDIT: Speak of the devil, after writing this I decided to check Win update again, and lo and behold there was CU there which wasn't there four hours ago when I checked. And yes, it does fix the L3 cache bug!
Build 22483.1011, for those who are interested--after the CU is applied! Good Job, Microsoft!
ID: hhmph8hAgreed.
ID: hhoau8jyooo I have that same laptop
ID: hhmrpgbMost people's L3$ latency before this patch were 40-50ns, but yea agreed.
ID: hhmyvduHmm is moving from win10 to 11 actually worth ? Performance wise ?

Is the 1600AF comparable to the 2600/2600x?
ID: hhno9jfYes, it's essentially a 2600 with slightly lower stock boost clock speed.
ID: hhnodxpOh ok. Thanks bro

Your L1~L3 Read/write/copy is still quite worse than my 1st gen non-AF Ryzen 1600:
But at least microsoft is getting better

What clock speed does the 1600AF run at while gaming? Stock, no overclock.
ID: hhnhw0f3500 MHz
ID: hhni3kmNice. Was wondering if mine was underclocked or something.
ID: hhoheyvYou can easily OC any 1600AF to 4Ghz allcore. Most need about 1.2v, mine does 1.125v. It really needs it in games if you're on 3600Mhz RAM.

Why does everyone seem to have a legit copy of AIDA64 but me.

still Beating a dead horse.

I got a similar performance bump on my 5800X
112GB/s Reads and 32ns latency before
514GB/s Reads and 11.4ns latency after
That's quite a whopping difference

It's just a reminder that AMD actually released a CPU branded "as fuck". Ignore the picture.
