Hard to say how many sidequests there are, and if they're substantial or not, that'll definitely affect gameplay time. I'm hoping for a 30-50 hour experience.

I am not a Marvel fan, so maybe I am just living in my bubble; but it seem that this game has zero hype. Which seems weird. Usually publishers pay a huge amount of people to fake hype their game at least for the release period.

So on its face, I’m just not interested and many people share the same sentiment.

ID: hhonsxhNo one thought Mass Effect was boring because you could only play as the boring human. Mass Effect fans have all kinds of complaints about various parts of the trilogy, but I've never heard anyone complain that they couldn't play as Garrus or Mordin. I'm 100% waiting for reviews on this game, but the fact that this game seems to be trying to emulate good games instead of adding Games-as-a-Service bullshit should be viewed as an encouraging sign.

ID: hhn7o3kThe fact that they could have gone with anything and chose GotG suggests they were passionate about telling a Guardians story, so for Guardians fans that’s pretty exciting. Can’t wait for Tuesday.

ID: hhnatieGOTG comics are great and I think they made the right choice for this. There’s so much to expand on, and so many other space heroes and villains it leaves the door open to expansions on missions and bosses.

What kind of game is this? Is it like Spider-Man (single player, story driven)? or is it completely different?

IGN did a preview of the game where they played one of the chapters; they said it took them about 1 and-a-half hours to finish. Assuming the 16 chapters are equal length, that would be 24 hours total. Of course, it all depends on your playstyle.
