- Little Devil Inside | State of Player New Trailer
-
I am still so excited for this, and I love what I'm seeing, but the overworld map was a bit of a surprise.
It looks a bit too slow. It's one thing to travel and chill out on a big map in third person where the world is more engaging, but here I'm just sort of bored watching those little figures bobble and I've only seen 2 minutes of it.
In the original pitch they really stressed the feeling of a journey over a minimal landscape, it must not have tested well.
ID: hiavosbID: hiattq8Yeah hopefully they have a speed up option
-
For people more interested in this there has been some sporadic gameplay footage.
-
This game... was not what I expected
ID: hiauuvwYeah, I agree, it looked better before
ID: hib36coTotally agree, not sure what's happened here, looks like an entirely different game now! Been looking forward to this for a while based on the older trailers and this doesn't interest me at all.
ID: hiawc0vIt looks like the game went backwards in terms of scope? Previous gameplay videos have shown it with all sorts of overworld exploration and stuff and this video showed…..little tiny sprites moving across a board?
It feels like this game and the devs are stuck in some sort of dev hell, it was originally announced as a WiiU game.
ID: hiav4gdI thought it was just me. Somehow the OG trailer made it look fun. This just looks like some bland, papercraft, quirkiness where nothing happens.
-
The world overview with the bobble heads didn’t do it for me. Hoping there’s less of that and more of in person. Curious but want to see more.
ID: hid35h5Yes, I sincerely hope that studio sees this and takes it as a constructive feedback.
-
Best thing shown at the state of play but...that's not really saying much..
ID: hiatzxtDeath's Door PS release is the only other good thing.
ID: hiaugvmAnd Bigsnax
ID: hiav7ajYou should look the Five Nights at Freddy subreddit after the new trailer, it's basically new year celebration there.
ID: hib55maI'm not even a FNAF fan outside of the lore, but I'm excited for Security Breach since it seems more than just a jump scare simulator now.
ID: hiave76If I start looking into any FNAF subs please find me and put a bullet in me.
ID: hibndhyFNAF fans are serious business. I will never get into it, but it has devoted fans.
ID: hic1kz4I'm slowly realizing that FNAF trailer was probably the entire reason for this State of Play, and boy does that shatter my worldview a little.
-
It looks very nice! Can't wait to play my own Rural England Simulator.
-
I wonder if the game will be about scripted events or more like open world/survival.
-
Why even show the trailer without release date...
Edit: Shit Im blind, there was 2022 at the end
Edit 2: Fuck no, in the state of play there is nothing but on yt the trailer has 2022 in it so I was right
-
No release date??
-
In the back of my mind I was hoping for a Nintendo like ‘out today’ to blow everyone’s minds
-
The graphics and gameplay style look absolutely phenomenal. I expect big things from this game
-
If you spend most of your time in that doll view Im gonna be really disappointed. They did not show this at all in the first trailer (probably for good reason)..
-
First time hearing about this game. It looks interesting but I did not like the UI.
The minimalist inventory menu that was just skinny white lines made it difficult to tell what was what.
When white text would pop up on screen, it could be on top of a bright background making it a strain to read.
And finally the text boxes were way too small to make out. Straining my eyes to read them on the same TV I play my PS5 on.
I understand it could be vastly different in the actual game but it didn’t look great to me.
ID: hibba4zWhaaat, i absolutely loved the UI, it's so clean. But I get your criticism.
ID: hidw8sqI upgraded to a bigger tv a few years ago because I was tired of straining to read video game text. I watched this trailer and could barely read any of it! I hope there will be an option to make it bigger. Otherwise, how big of a tv am I gonna need to get to be able to play games comfortably on my couch?! And why do new games make the text so small?!
-
This actually looks really interesting. I'm intrigued.
-
Interesting to make this the highlight of the show.
Over all, underhelming State of Play. I was at least expecting Forspoken stuff.
ID: hiaudmbThat's a first party game, yes? This was advertised as a showcase of 3rd parties
ID: hiaurdaForspoken is from Square-Enix, so third party. Every first party game is exclusive but not every exclusive is a first party game (rule of thumb).
-
World overview reminds me a little bit of Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
-
The whole look reminds me of oldschool FFVII
-
Hoping you can open travel in 3rd person rather than be forced to go around the over world in the doll view...
Otherwise still pretty excited.
ID: hiatgsfThat's gonna be it, making a whole open world like that is a different project all on its own
-
Pretty disappointed that they've opted for this figurine, budget, map traversal instead of it being open world as originally promised.
I'm pretty sure this game has and is currently in development hell.
ID: hid36mgWhen did they promise open world?
-
Is there anything else related to the multiplayer aspect mentioned on the Wikipedia page? An old interview mentions local co-op, but most of the footage that’s been shown looks solely single player (which I’m fine with, but playing with my partner would be fun)
-
This looks really interesting. But no release date?
-
So it's an exploration/survival/action game?
-
No release date?
Awwwww!
I was hoping we would AT LEAST get that after all this time!
ID: hibh8g6The YT video has 2022 at the end of it fwiw
-
I'm liking what I'm seeing overall, but the overworld map doesn't seem like an engaging traversal system.
-
I really love the minimalist UI. So much easier to tell what was what at a glance.
-
This and Kena are the games im most excited to play besides most of Sony's AAA games...I really wish i was aware of the Kickstarter when that was a thing...
-
This is a two brownie kind of game

I'm just sort of bored watching those little figures bobble and I've only seen 2 minutes of it.
I agree, I think the game looks like it could be good fun and it's still on my 'wishlist' at present but share the concern that the cutesy animations will drag on too long and be encountered too frequently during gameplay and they'll switch from being a nice detail to becoming a barrier to enjoying the rest of the game (and I say this as someone who is happy playing slow-paced games if I find the story and art-style interest).
