This is a game I've never hands on played but am never surprised to see the next iteration of.

ID: hiqfehyIt’s a bit like Dynasty Warriors. In terms of graphics it’s pretty dogshit, AI isn’t there, mission design and plot is paper thin. However the looter shooter aspect is second to none and the thrill of getting a stupidly overpowered rocket launcher that kills everyone including yourself is hard to beat. Also it’s like being the only sensible person in a Kaiju movie.

It’s basically a cheap 70s giant alien movie meets looter shooter, with guns that range from complete jokes that ends up killing you or a nuclear weapons that ends up killing you.
It also has Gundam style robots and enough explosions/gore to make Micheal Bay blush.
ID: hiqrmb7It's just like your average Zombie shooter but instead of zombies you kill ants that are 3x times bigger than a tank if not even bigger there is also other animal like alien attackers. This game is good for coop the story isn't important in this one so fell free to hear music or talk to your coop friends.

EDF and Dynasty Warriors deserve awards for making the shittiest graphics possible per generation vs their gross sales / cult following.

I hope it runs at 120 fps, but with dips down to 15 fps. Just so it still feels authentic.
ID: his98lyIf air Raider is coming back they won't have a consistent frame rate, if there's a sky I'm dipping that frame rate into the single digits with my air strikes.

ID: hiskl19Nah I think they nailed it in 4.1. It was the perfect B-Movie vibe. 5 just went too far and the voice acting was honestly annoying after playing 4.1 for so long.

These games are fun, they do play like they are from the 90s but they are so outrageous I find myself playing it a lot, it's great with people around, everyone enjoys just watching it.

Super hyped for this, these games are always a blast. Hopefully they eventually release a new gen only iron rain sequel that takes advantage of the new consoles power. Iron rain looked great but didn't have as many enemies at a time, which could be fixed with being on PS5.

I love these games, have 4, 5 and Iron Rain on my PS5 right now but I wish they’d put Insect Armageddon on the PS4. I still think that one was the most fun. I hope they get the new one running at 60fps at least on PS5. I don’t care about the graphics, but the framerate are definitely with griping over.

i respect that these games look a generation behind because you can tell they're putting every spare cycle towards throwing as much shit on screen as possible. that's a dev with their priorities in order
