ID: hipoiciNo kidding. I have the Red Dragon triple fan cooler and it does a great job at 1080p but 2x or even 3x performance sounds pretty nice and opens up high refresh rate 1440 or even 4k. I think my R5 1600 needs a replacement first tho.

ID: hin1amaGot 400€ for my 5700XT in Jan 2021 right before the craze started. I wasnt that bad becouse thats what I bought it for but If I had waited a couple of monthes I could have gotten way more. Some sold their 5700XT for 7-900€ here in Sweden.

If you haven’t already, you should sell your Vega 56. It’s a beastly mining card with its HBM2 memory, (50MH ETH, 200MH ERG), you should get at least $800 for that card.

I was going to upgrade from my Radeon VII, but its been so long since the 6000 series was released that at this point, I'm just going to wait for the 7000 series.

I have a undervolted overclocked Vega 64 with 2560x1080 75hz and it’s a beast few games cannot be handled by it at 75fps on ultra. But honestly I would buy 6800/6900 even if I need 75 hz hahaha

I did the same. Sapphire V56 Pulse to Powercolor 6900XT Red Devil.
Very happy with it but now I need a new CPU. 3700X can be a big bottleneck in some situations. Even with ~20% improvement from memory tuning.

Sold mine got a 6800 at msrp, sold that got a 6900xt at msrp.

I love big cases and blackout designs. My 6900XT has been working like a Swiss watch with the recent drivers (over the past couple of months or so). A month or so after it came out I was getting a bit disappointed with stability, but now it's great. Glad I didn't give up on it.

ID: himssfvEh, as a former V64 owner it was starting to show it's age. Definitely a decent card still absolutely, but I have no regrets upping the ante to a 6800
ID: himy6irI got in love with Hbm2, I always though that 6900 should be launched with hbm2 /e, less power consumption, higher bandwidth, just for 200USD more, it will be competitive with 3090 as well
ID: hin27h7Vega 56 is kinda struggling with 1440p 144hz gaming already. And also got the Asus Strix model with Hynix memory which is a problematic one.
ID: himrbz9Vega 56 enjoyer here. Maybe OP is going to play at 4K resolution. In that case, Vega 56 is not enough these days to properly perform on highly demanding titles.
I'm playing at 1080p and still holds on incredibly well, though. Only thinking I bought it brand new 2+ years ago for a little more than 250€... I really dodged a bullet there, I guess.
ID: himxuxkI have a 64 with undervolted it takes 240w out of power supply and give me 75fps on 2560x1080 in almost every game, high settings. Very happy with it. But damn those rdna cards are from other planet
