I started playing this game and got past the story. I have no idea what they’re talking about.
ID: hj3a289They started selling XP boosters in the marketplace about a month ago. They originally said they would only sell cosmetics so the community went nuclear, some people found the crystal dynamics community manager (who hasn't said or been involved with avengers since the beginning of the year) and sent her harassing messages. People at CD said they would stop communicating with the community now and this is why they don't like to talk to anyone that they deem toxic. Shit continued to hit the fan and then just radio silence for the last two weeks. Now today they put this out and say they are removing the XP boosters at the end of the day, some people feel really good about this, some are indifferent.

In other words: they had enough time to view their analytics and determined the revenue gained didn't meet their expectations and figured they could roll them back and be seen as the "good guy". But people don't forget.

Seriously, all they had to do was make this game half decent, and the name alone would have carried it. The amount of bad publicity this game has brought upon itself is just ridiculous.

But after the main story there is nothing to do except grind. its just a train of boredom hitting you right after the story. I played 1-2 games to test black panther and stopped playing. The worst thing for me was that you never feel powerful, enemies are scaling with your level...

I am glad to hear they decided to listen to the community, but honestly, the campaign and the DLCs are still pretty much 85% of the fun you're going to have in the game.
Sure, playing with friends can be great, but the endgame is still made up of only a few missions, and the normal "threat sectors" just aren't really fun unless you enjoy the grind.
And then again, if you only play the campaign and the DLCs, you don't really need to care about XP and fragments that much.

I hate that the Guardians of the Galaxy game is probably slightly suffering in sales because of this game, because people think they’re even remotely the same.
The GoTG game is night and day on how to make a fun team marvel game. Buy that one, not this.

First you bury your game deep, and over a year later you decide that maybe you should change that because the game is dead. Most devs do listen to fans, but this is an obvious corporate choice. This shit doesn't work anymore unless it's FIFA, and FIFA is already having trouble with their model in some countries. Might want to think your strategy again.
What pisses me off is that these fucking rip-offs are available for me, but yet Europe can't play Poker on Red Dead Online because it's "Gambling". Just fuck off.

Well yeah. The only added them because a bunch of people started playing on Gamepass. Those people like me quickly dropped the trash game so now they can remove these money-grabs to keep the strange core fans happy.

they were boost that you could buy with real money that gave you like double xp gain and things like that. It was criticized because they said the game would never be Pay 2 Win and the player base considered those like P2W. So after listening to the playerbase, they decided remove them from the market store and make them obtainable from different way without spending money.
