it's not the meta partnership that moves the stock price. They showed milan-x, the MI200 and talked about bergamo. Those things are absolute dominance in datacenter compute for the foreseeable future.

I mean, it's a win from a buisness sense to have your hardware running the data centers for major buisnesses.. But also, I'd want to be distancing myself personally from Meta for PR reasons..
Good to see AMD making victory in the backend hardware of corporations however. It's an area intel has dominated for far too long!
ID: hjz8gfzI think its a market separate enough to deny any kind of liability even in mind share. Facebook will exist. There are two viable chip makers. I don't think it will be that big of a detractor to be one of two supplying on of the biggest tech companies ever.

ID: hjz8pcrHow silly. 1 of 2 are evil for supplying one of the biggest tech giants on earth. They make chips. Facebook need chips to go vroom vroom. They aren't responsible for Facebooks misdeeds. What a stretch!

The fact is it's the umbrella company of Facebook etc, like Alphabet for Google.
