- The 12 core 5900X is now on sale for $479 at Bestbuy.

$399 should be the right spot on.

$469.99 at Microcenter. Print out the MC listing and take it to Best Buy and ask them if they will Price Match !! Its worth $10 if they accept it.
ID: hm5wu2cBest buy doesn't price match on black friday. I built my pc 3 years ago with that plan in mind for my whole build and it fell apart because they said they won't price match on black friday.
ID: hm6wtbtThen maybe they will price match on Saturday?
ID: hm72keqA lot of places here don't just due to sheer volume of people and how much time that takes en masse plus other reasons.

Bought mine for $840 CAD last March and now I feel like an idiot 🙂
ID: hm72rrrNever buy anything if it going on sale a year later makes you feel like an idiot.
ID: hm741w6Better yet, never buy a PC component when there's no competition to bring prices down. AMD clearly overcharged for this series, hence the drastic drop in price right after Intel's 12th gen release. Also I didn't know there was only 8 months in a year..

Great deal, but now you've got the V cache version coming.
That's the one I'd like to get.

Do you think it's worth upgrading from a ryzen 7 3700x?
ID: hm729n3It depends. For me personally? The 3700x is still handling my needs, and I like the lower power draw, so I'm going to wait for the next rev of the product line.
ID: hm730xpYeah, I just use my for gaming and lite video editing. I probably just wait.

As if they have the supply

Boycott Black Friday

Good deal for people who don't have the MC option. I just swapped my 3900x with one and games dip and stutter way less.
The 2022 CPUs will probably be back to being in short supply and selling over MSRP.

5900X or 12700k for $420?
ID: hm7od16plus a $200 z690 intel board vs a $150 x570 AMD board.

I just wish there were more options for prebuilt workstations incorporating these CPUs from Lenovo, etc, for those of us who may not want to build ourselves.
Solid CPUs.
