When a game is so appealing it attracts people who aren't into its genre.

Or it makes people like me somehwat into the genre finally decide it was time to get a wheel

Fanatec dd pro here I come.

I'm one of those people lol.....how did you know

A game so appealing it effects the real world.

Awesome looking car.

Looks fantastic, why isn't this the design language of Porsche IRL? The Taycan design looks pretty meh.

Porsche is like the most conservative car company when it comes to their designs. Porsches from 20 years ago look almost the same as the current models.

The 918 Spyder does looks amazing though.

Aren't design changes usually met with huge backlash for Porsche?

Sure, but when they did decide to have a new design language, why did they ok the taycan design. It sooo ugly.

Bc, Porsche is doing design and tech still rather conservatively and cautiously (compared to other manufacturers) when it comes to their volume production models, meaning they are updating their existing models rather restrained as to not cause controversy among their fan/customer base. But it also means, that if they are coming up with a new design/model, it's going to be really pretty (Taycan for example). For this concept, it seems to be a very elaborate design experiment to test the waters for this type of design language, which looks to me like a really interesting blend of a road going sports car and a true prototype racing car. But I also guess, that the batterie tech (mainly energy density) for such a car IRL still isn't quite there yet. It is probably available at some point but not in the immediate future.

Also other technical limitations.

Because you can’t translate the design of a concept into a production car, and the Taycan is a very different car

Definitely going to be getting into this game

Someone please enlighten me.

All the “Concept” and “Vision” cars on GT, they are not real are they?

So that car doesn’t exist, just the people in Porche designed this for the game’s sake?

Or is it just a “show case” and potentially be made in the future?

ID: hndnyo2

It’s a concept car made for the game specifically, but there’s a chance it’s the basis for a future car in real life (like Bugatti for example)

VGT cars are usually just a showcase made for the game, although some of them did seem to have more influence than others. Like the Toyota ft1 Vision GT (basically a Supra concept), the BMW Vision GT (basically an M2 concept) and even the Audi E-Tron Vision GT which to me seems like a concept for the Audi E-tron GT. There are however also some insane, unrealistic ones like the Chaparral VGT and the 2700hp SRT Vision GT.

Looks good but it doesn't look like a Porsche. Looks more like an Alpine VGT 2.0
