Half Life 3, Persona 6, Bloodborne 2, The Last of Us 3 and 4, Ape Escape remastered collection, Sony buying Crash Bandicoot back from Activision, PSVR2, Vita 2 the revenge, and just to be sure, some PS6 hints. Anything less and the event will be a complete dissapointment and a waste of time.

ID: hnwy84jSame boat. I think it's a bit disappointing that so many people don't care about these things, especially considering this subreddit is literally a gaming subreddit. I think it's nice watching people who worked hard get praised for it.
ID: hnwykq3Nah not really, especially when it’s purely fan voted. Like don’t get me wrong, RE:8 was a fantastic game and easily my top 5 this year, but the VA beating out the VA for Julianna (Deathloop) and their sound design beating out Returnal’s sound design made no sense. RE:8 had fantastic VA and sound design, but Deathloop and Returnal deserved those wins for those categories, and since it’s fan based votes it’s no wonder RE:8 won.

ID: hnwsxqcWell, talking about awards alone, there's 30 of them. Then there's the music performances, also some speeches that will eventually happen, I'd say that there's only about 1 hour worth of reveals.

I never watch these things, it's way easier to just wait until it's over. You can then just look at a nice list of all the winners and only watch the trailers for games you're actually interested in.

Isn't this the problem that other awards shows, like the Oscars and Emmys, deal with? It should be 120 minutes tops. I think Geoff's excitement might be clouding his judgment a bit here.

I'll just start the show with a 2hrs delay and skip ahead the stuff that's isn't interesting to me.

Just watch it after and speed through all the shit you don’t care about. I do this every press conference or event. 3 hours turns into 20 minutes. I don’t give a shit about awards or streamers and music guests. Just want to see cool trailers and skip past the lame ones.
