There's been another big Assassin's Creed Valhalla expansion leak - this time with pictures

Sounds like assassins creed infinity will be released as a base to add different time periods together to create a platform for continuous content release. This is most likely the experiment to see if the workflow can be sustainable. Then they scale that up to multiple years of support for the title with different time periods and settings added, almost like extended versions of the seasons mechanic that is currently taking over every franchise as a way to keep eyes and dollars in their product.

Looks kinda generic, as in I see similar models in ads for random chinese moba/afk/gacha games. Might look different in game though.

Do we know if there will be a new AC game next year or not? Reading about support for this one makes me think not.

It feels like so much effort (in world building and artwork) to scrap everything every 24 months.
Crazy amount of work Ubi does for their games graphically and in 3D/2D modeling.

Thats what I was thinking when they first announced it. It makes total sense, as many games as they've released, to try to reuse time period's assets while working on new content. I think the concept of seasons would work fantastically for where they're at, its the multiplayer I'm just not sure of. I think it'd be cool to have a mode where one player is the assassin with an assassination goal and the other player creates a fortress/places obstacles to try to stop them. Then maybe a couple other players could be Elite Guards or whatever.
