It Takes Two

Been playing It Takes Two with my partner lately. If you like platforming/light puzzling - believe the hype! It’s so fun wow. Def recommend.
If you’re into RPGs can’t recommend Divinity Original Sin 2. Criminally underrated and so deep. It’s basically like playing DND virtually.
Last rec for some lighthearted but hectically stressful vibes is Overcooked.

Borderlands (all have split screen), lots of arcade games, Enter the Gungeon, Crazy Golf is a fun party game, Shovel Knight, Road Redemption is jank but fun, Sundered. I'm just going through my old purchases now

Borderlands 1-3, diablo 3, How to survive 2, Destroy all humans 2, EDF 5. All verified awesome couch coops

I had fun with Dont Starve Together and Diablo 3 also Overcooked.
-
Helldivers
-
A way out (amazing journey of prison break), Unravel 2 (beautiful game with amazing soundtrack)
-
Stardew Valley.

Towerfall ascension has a lot of fun memories for me.

Little big planet
-
Divinity original sin 2 - it's basically D&D the game and each player has a wide range that they can travel on their own so you don't necessarily have to be tethered to one another, even with quests. More fun together of course
-
There is a huge variety of lego games that fit the bill. It takes two is amazing too.

Overcooked is great fun but can ruin marriages.
If you're looking for something a bit more on the nerdy side then Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2 are awesome RPG's you can play split screen.

Personally, I enjoyed Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
This is a hack-and-slash game from PS2 that was ported recently. I got to play it with my friend through the party system’s screen share feature. It was mostly fun, sometimes hard, sometimes repetitive, but playing with someone always alleviates those harder moments. Although I wouldn’t nominate it as a great multiplayer game, I would recommend it if you’re into this sort of thing… or, at the very least, you should check it out. Watch a short video on it, read some reviews.

Try out Salt & Sanctuary!
ID: hoo3lj7Just be warned. It's a soulslike and it shares the difficulty. It is a terrific game though.
