Ratchet and Clank and Returnal are definitely some of the best games I've played in 2021. Kena was amazing as well, reading through a list like this it's easy to see just how good of a year PS5 had. I can't believe I played Ghost of Tsushima this year as well, what an amazing game.

Got it on black friday and like it alot, but I'm already burnt out trying to get past biome 3.
3 was the hardest biome for me. After that you start getting multiple traits for weapons and some of the combos are crazy powerful
As someone who’s finished all biomes, I can easily say that 3 was the hardest. While later ones are tough, I feel like you’ve gained enough upgrades and abilities to power through them. 3 had me take a solid two month break from the game until I was mentally prepared to get my butt kicked over and over again in that section until I got it right.
I feel like I'm the only person in the world that did not enjoy RE8 like everybody else did. RE is at its best when it's more horror-oriented. I'm not a fan of the over-the-top action games. RE7 was really good, scary, and a step in the right direction in my opinion. And then RE8 came out. The game legit did not scare me once, or have any good horror moments in it. And I didn't enjoy the "action movie" vibe it gave off many times. I don't know. I really wish they would just stick with the horror theme for the series.
It's a really good game, but its leaning back towards the same mistakes the series has ,made in the past.
Obviously this is all fan voting, and there is a LOT to talk about here, but: FUCK YES. I love even the slightest acknowledgement of Little Nightmares II. Adore that series and really hope it gets a third (yes, I know it’s studio announced it would move on from these games).
"best use of dual sense" nomination for Resi? I can't remember anything about them using it clever except the R2 being stuck when u are out of ammo.

To be fair the new characters were pretty weak. I mean tenzo in top 3? I can't even remember his face and i played GoT directors cut one month ago. Rivet? The female version of ratchet who apologizes to everyone? They were all weak, at least dimitrescu gave us memes
Is It Takes Two suitable for 6 year olds? I'm thinking about getting it for my nephew. He loves to play Sackboy with me.
There's some sexual innuendo and also a scene where the main characters violently murder a toy while it begs for it's life and it's a bit over the top.
I personally would say its child friendly enough and that those things would just go over a kids head but it depends on the parent.

I don’t think so. It’s not a particularly easy game for non or youngish gamers. A couple of the boss fights I thought were pretty easy but my SO was having a ton of trouble with them
How the hell has Battlefield 2042 and Call of Duty Vanguard placed higher than Endwalker. Even Back 4 Blood, which has its own fair share of flaws, is a better and much more fun multiplayer experience than those two
Because its voted by fans? COD has a HUGE fanbase on Playstation. I doubt Endwalker even comes close.
People keep buying that shit and they love it. The only reason those games are getting worse and worse is because EA and Activision are making big bucks effortlessly after yearly releases of half-assed games.
back 4 blood was a horrible experience.. even the devs admitted they fucked up the special spawns and dont know how to fix it lol.
EDIT: some people said it was patched last week. Which is great, I am genuinely happy to hear that bc then new players wont ditch the game because of it. But since it took more than 2 months since release, I think a lot of people (like me and my friends) lost interest already and will never go back.

RE8 winning best story is kind of laughable. The game is great at many things but its story is not that great lol
Insomniac really is a fantastic studio that puts a lot of heart into their work and you can tell. I'm so glad more and more people are realizing this.

REVIII for best story is ridiculous. The game is good. Very good. The story is B serie just as much as RE6. It’s campy as hell.
R&C for best art direction is even worse when It Takes Two, Hades and little nightmares shit all over it. Especially when we take into account that the entire “multidimensional thing” never had a real correspondent in the art department except for stuff like “hey here’s this planet. And now it’s the same planet but snowy”. Basically it won that poll because most people think that art direction and graphical showcase are the same thing

NIER replicant last in the poll for best OST is laughable at best, depressing at worst

That's why 100% fan voted awards are more a popularity contest than anything else. Not quality get's honored, but sale figures. Thankfully, the most important awards in gaming, The Game Awards, aren't like that.

RE8 won best story. Yeah you got it, as much as people complain about critics, it’s the fan awards that are the real joke

Idk how anyone could give Deathloop GOTY, and I say this as someone who really does love the game. The story was an insane let down and so much about it felt perfectly setup in concept yet unsatisfying
