ID: hrtzxqtThat 500 hours is just BS marketing related to how it would take multiple playthroughs to see everything, since there are factions to side with this time around. Kinda like Borderlands and BILLIONS OF GUNS.
Don't pay it any attention. JRPG fans take that shit as gospel and it never goes well.

Two things;
1) they're not specifying which consoles will be shown
2) it sounds to me like they're not giving out PS4/X1 early to reviewers. We will have to rely on "their gameplay footage" to determine if we should pre-order or not.
Obviously no one should pre-order this, but from the way this tweet reads it comes off as suspect.

There is no way this is going to have a happy ending with the amount of delays and the rocky development this game has endured. I've learned my lesson from Cyberpunk 2077. They'll get my money after reviews are available.
At least I'll have a Matt McMuscles video to look forward if this game flops.

ID: hrwcgg3I played DL on PS4 probably about 6 months after it was released so probably with multiple patches. I didn’t notice any stability issues (maybe inconsistent or dropped frames when lots of action was on screen but nothing too serious)
Nor was I aware of it having a patchy launch, What sort of issues are we talking about?

Im hoping the performance on PS5/SX makes up for the long delay. Praying for sharp visuals and fluid 60fps gameplay.

Alternately, just don't pre-order anything, ever, and just pick games up the following day after it's been out in the wild and there's endless footage online from every platform. Good way to avoid inevitable launch day server issues, too.
ID: hrtu6x9This is advice to live by. I am certain I am going to buy both Horizon 2 and Elden Ring in February. I am stoked for both of those games. But I sure as fuck am not pre ordering them.

Dying Light 2's development and marketing cycle has been ongoing for what feels like 32 years.

My confidence is pretty low about this game but I’m still interested to see how it does. The reports of all the development hell has me waiting cautiously.
