I've missed Armored Core. Great games.
I've platinumed every souls game (except DeS PS5, working on it) and I'd be super stoked if their next game after Elden Ring was an AC with all the cool stuff they've learned.

This is a great idea. Have it be a souls like game. For the hell of it set it in the Bloodborne universe. No robots this time around though, keep things more grounded. Call it Bloodborne 2.

I loved Armored Core. Long time fan. I hope they don't turn it into Armored Core: Dark Souls edition. Just give some insane almost not there plot and let me fight some robots. It would nice if they had an online arena mode where you could take your custom mecha against others
ID: hrt7h1xYeah that would be shame to have to never play another Armored Core game because they applied their 'difficult for the sake of content padding, bore me to death with tediously repetitive gameplay loop'. The souls formula for me isn't fun...it would be a shame to turn AC into a horrible slog of fighting through the same enemies while fighting the shitty and unresponsive controls at the same time type of game.

I played a lot of Armored Core back in the ps2 days. Bloodbourne’s combat finally clicked with me when I started thinking of the character as a mech from AC.

Could this be the game that will be Playstation Exclusive? I recall reading at some point within the past few months, that FromSoftware had another game outside Elden Ring, that was being made exclusive for Playstation. Have no idea of that's supposed to be another Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Sekiro, or I guess Armored Core now

I mean, I don't care much for shooter games, but if Miyazaki turned Armoured Core into a sick scifi/mech Souls game where you battle giant mechs and kaiju with enormous electric swords, well... I'm here for it 100%.

Again, never played Armoured Core but I just had a vision after reading this post of a souls level where instead of trecking through a ruined castle you are trecking through a scale ruined future city as a crazy looking mech with a glowing space sword and that sounds so fucking sick, whether or not it’s called Armoured Core.

Not a dark souls game.
The point is to make two gains robots fight eachother.
Preferably against people.
Otherwise am I even living? Can one go a lifetime of never having experienced total domination of the enemy with a giant pink robot with cat ears?

I've kept my PS3 connected this whole time for Fight Night Champion, but I occasionally jump on AC:V and it's always such a treat. I really love Mech games but there hasn't been a real good one since. Battletech is good if you like RTS, there's Hawken for MP which had potential but it's kinda dead, although they did get the feeling of badassness from the mechs right. Mechwarrior has always felt very repetitive to me. I tried the gundam games but the gacha aspect of it is a turn off. Daemon X Machina looks like a fun time but it's not on a system I own, hopefully one day it gets ported to Playstation.

Ugghhh… everything is a souls-like and/or every company is trying to put souls-like mechanics into their game. It reminds me of the late 90’s/early 2000’s where every single studio tried to put stealth into their games because of Metal Gear Solid.
I understand that From Software invented it, but for Christ’s sake, not every game from them has to be a Souls game.

ID: hrt2oglThey've never really had a flop, i've enjoyed every souls game they've made(just personally), so its highly unlikely they will change their current development direction away from soulslike games to any other game type. Why change what's working, when what's working sells.
So until they have a souls game that totally flops, they most likely won't change direction.
Its like asking tesla to stop making cars and start making phones because they keep making cars that look the same despite selling well.

I played all these back on the ps1, ps2, and ps3. But man they innovated so little between console generations it became frustrating. The potential with these games is incredible, but it’s obvious they just rehashed the same engine between console generations, and made the graphics nicer.

They need to make blood borne 2, though I struggle to see how. Maybe you fight as a squid god? Maybe a prequel? Maybe the hunter squid has become evil and you have to replace it idk. The only thing I do know is the game is worthy of a sequel.

I don’t think that developer exists anymore. I wonder who owns the IP these days. A colony wars reboot would be one of the few announcements that would absolutely blow me away.
