- GT7 event is now taking place on February 3rd. Apparently, the reason for the short-notice delay was that Yamauchi wanted to be at the event to answer questions, but couldn't be there for whatever reason. March 4th release seems to be happening! 🙂

this is why you shouldn’t always assume the worst with this stuff
ID: huapb4uID: huarcgbgetting redditors to not expect the worst, or the best is impossible.
ID: hubaujwWhen it comes to Gran Turismo, you should always expect a delay. It's been a pattern for so long.
ID: hucizgpPut it this way: I’m scheduling time off for HFW. I’m holding off for now for GT7.
ID: huc145iIt's easy to assume the worst with a GT release lmao

Tom Henderson on non BF stuff is hit or miss, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise if no delay.

Hyped!

I'll take Sonys word over this guy's.

Ah man I read this as GT7 releasing on February 3rd 🙁

as someone who doesnt really like racing game but really liked the burnout games would GT7 be for me? ive watched gameplay and it seems kinda slow compared to those
ID: huaqrxmUnfortunatly not. It is not a game like burnout in any way.
The GT series is closer to a simulation game.
ID: huaut1jThank you!
ID: huarjf6burnout is an arcade racing game, GT7 is a sim racing game.
ID: huauurwThank you. That’s kinda what I was thinking
ID: huazfz3Don't listen to the guy below. Been playing GT since GT4 came out. It can be as just approachable as an arcade game if you want it to be. The game has chase cam, and good feel on a controller for a reason. Even with a wheel for Sims like iRacing and rFactor 2, I still choose to play GT with a controller on a couch. The game is great for that, and offers a nice experience if played casually.
The only way I'd suggest not getting it, is if an open world is a must have for you.
ID: hubb4a6You can't hit other cars, you can't damage your vehicle, you can't take hairpin turns at 100+ mph.
Honestly Burnout and GT have nothing in common aside from cars being in both games.
ID: hubn91dI think if you want to play a GT game with a Burnout mindset, you will be very disappointed. They are completely different games with a hugely different style. Burnout is about as arcade as a racing game can get, and GT is much more about taking corners the correct way, breaking at the correct point, not hitting other players.
ID: hubs479I understand you want to praise GT to as many people as possible, but selling it like a burnout game would be misleading a bit dude.
ID: hubfzseIf you have Plus, you can try Dirt5 right now which is pretty similar to burnout (The arcade type of game).
And if you want to know whether you will like GT7 or not, you can start by playing GT Sport which is super cheaper right now and it's basically the same (The game engine, phyisics and other stuff). But as they told you, be aware that Gran Turismo is more oriented to simulation, but can be enjoyed in an Arcade way too.

This might be the first game I buy full price since San Andreas!
-
Mann I read that as GTA 6. I'm tripping
ID: huare18lmao how did you read GT7 as GTA6?
ID: huax7v0He did say he was tripping.
ID: huaxsptHalf the people you say "GT5" to think you mean GTA5, so it's not too bad.
-
Hoping for a playable demo and a decent chase cam this time around. I'm sure they'll be making stellar use of the dualsense controller, though.

Hallelujah!

I wouldn't expect a State of Play then on this date based on those rumors.

Of course you should, how else would social media survive. /s
