Super random question, I know nothing about how this games online works but I always see a shit ton of people playing it, what exactly is GTA 5 online?
I randomly popped into a stream of someone playing it last night for a few minutes and it was almost like I was watching VR Chat without the VR. It was a group of people standing around in what looked like the backyard of a house party and they were just talking and walking around together. I was super confused on what I was watching since I expected typical GTA stuff, so is GTA online almost like a mix of GTA and VR Chat?

So once you claim the game after March 15, it’s not permanent? So like you don’t have it permanently and it just locks out after 3 months unless you pay for it? Can someone explain?

For 3 months you can claim it. After those 3 months as long as you claimed it you still have it. If you didn't claim it in time then no it's no longer free

I'm still mad my ps3 version wasn't a free upgrade to ps4... So they're super late for me.

I think from the wording it'll be free to PS5 owners regardless of if you own PS plus or not, then after that you have to pay. PS plus owners next month I assume can get it for free permanently

After two years i let my ps plus sub expire because there was literally nothing worth the time of day all that time. Now they do something worth the time of day

I'd be really curious to know how many unique users download this the first two weeks its available then how many are actively playing two weeks afterwards. Something to that extent.
I just feel like so many people are going to download it, try it, then delete it when it isn't a groundbreaking visual update. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I appreciate this and I've heard multiple times about going to Twitter but I'm not really a Twitter person and by now the regular stores should be finally stocking them even in small quantities. It's been 2 Christmas's since the PS5 came out and even with the inventory shortage and a lot more customers to satisfy Apple seems to be able to take orders online and get products for their customers even though may have to wait up to 2 months for delivery.

Yeah, people like the single player & online but GTA online has gotten a lot of hate for well, being the reason Rockstar hasn't moved on yet.

Unlikely. When they delayed it all they said was “March 2022” but a few days ago instead of delaying it again they gave us an exact date - March 15th.

it’s actually quite fast on PS5 already, but with a native PS5 version it should be instant.
