- How often do ps direct restock and how rare is it to be picked to actually buy the ps5?

ID: hx3tprbSony doesn’t sell games so there is no incentive for them to prioritize gamers over resellers. As long as the bots are paying they are considered as good as any other customer

Even if you get an invite it's incredibly random whether you can actually get one. I've done several, waited around 10 minutes in a queue, only for them to be sold out every time. Yet people have waited 30 to 40 minutes in the queue in the same event and they've been able to get one. It's a completely random process.

I was registering every week or as often as I thought of it (on the weeks the site worked) since November and finally got an invite a few weeks back.

ID: hwzkn52I don't know, but I kept at it just on the off chance it would help. I noticed that when I would revisit the page it gave the option to click the button again, so I figured it might help. And it did in my case, so there's that (though correlation is not causation, so mileage will definitely vary).

I’ve been chosen once, but I wasn’t able to get the console. I’ve never bought a Sony product before, and i was still somehow chosen.

I registered before they first came out and nothing. So I register once a week and still nothing. Might as well buy one through eBay or one of those random drops… if you are lucky enough to buy one.

I got an invite through PS direct and got a PS5. At the time I wasn’t able to get one for myself so I got it for my friend. Now, I’m on the hunt for my own.

I was so damn lucky. I signed up and within a month got notified. The day came, I locked my door, disconnected the phone, and warned everyone to stay far, far away.

ID: hx6l1cbI got an email with the time and instructions about a week beforehand. There's a link you click to be placed in a queue. Click it about ten or fifteen minutes before start. You'll enter the queue and hopefully enter the actual store after a few minutes. It's then just like any other online store, but totally specific for PS5. Be ready with credit card, shipping info, etc. Act fast.

I signed up back in august or September and didn’t get an email til just recently. Was able to snag one end of Jan. But even though you get a special link, you still have to wait in a queue when it drops and it can sell out in that time. Many on the sub that day didn’t get one within like 20 minutes, but I waited in the queue 50minutes and still got one. It all seemed so random

I highly highly suggest the HotStock app and going premium as you’ll notified when a ps5 drop will be. I got my ps5 through Walmart member drop, I literally only became a member for it and cancelled it once I secured a system as so i did with the app. Turn on the notification bell and just have your phone near you at all times. I got one in a less than a month of downloading it.
