It’s such a nice collection, I honestly can’t believe I’ve got a hold of one

Just bought it on ps3 as well, out of impatience for the disastrous PS5 production I guess...

I feel the magic, but the fps drops and the servers being offline makes me wait with the platinum hunt for the next gen version.

The ps3 experience captures the whole vibe I get that this is truly what the dark souls trilogy was built on though. The old gritty graphics, the simpler yet impressive game mechanics. It's really charming, and I'm glad I didn't stress with trophy hunting on this experience.

Dude there's private servers for DeS on PS3 and online private servers for PC emulation, get in on this

and the servers being offline

Don't sweat it. The PS5 launch really killed a lot of the online play for this game. Also, they never bothered to improve the online experience except for increasing player counts (invasions and summons). Rewards suck for both invasions and summons.

I have over a hundred hours in the game and I've only seen less than 5 summon signs that were not my friends. Invasions take multiple attempts to get into someones world. Gank squads or fight clubs are the only good ways to get any consistency in PVP.

Still fun ol' Demon Souls with great graphics and gameplay but the dreadful PS5 launch and unfriendly online experience has made this game DOA for multiplayer.

I remember when i got my PS3 with this game, my first though was "this is really difficult" then i finished the Souls Saga and i got loved with Bloodborne.

It’s totally worth the buy if you do get a PS5

I’m still definitely going to get a ps5 version too when I can, I wanted to play the OG version first to compare them!

Every time I see posts about people buying the '09 game I just think:

'Really dude?'

Your patience and FOMO is that bad that you can't wait for the next PS5 stock drop and instead you're playing a 12-year-old game which barely runs at 25fps - missing out on the glory of experiencing it for the first time in all its stunning fidelity and solid 60fps.

Ps5 master race

This is still the superior version of the game for me.

I might get stoned to death for saying this but the Remake was a huge disappointment, especially as a remake. It's like Bluepoint didn't change/add anything that we expected and wanted them to, "staying as close to the original experience as possible", yet they completely changed the soundtrack, lighting and atmosphere of the game. What!? Whose bright fucking idea was it to dump the original's somber, moody OST in the trash and put a wannabe Bloodborne epicfest bullshit of a soundtrack in its place!? Fucking why!?

What in the fuck was the point of remaking the damn thing from scratch if they weren't going to add any new or cut content to the game or patch some archaic mechanics?

Haven’t played the remake, still no PS5, but from some of the videos I seen looks like they censored some of the female model armors like the black leather set/ starter thief gear. It’s not like they showed much of anything to begin with.

That combined with preorder exclusive dlc weapon and exclusive digital deluxe armors sets. Which seems you can only be gotten be gotten on new characters, along with no upgrade dlc option. Make me wonder if it’s worth buying once I get one.
