Seeing this kind of stuff always makes me want to play minecraft. But then after I turn it on I'm like, oh yeah, I suck at minecraft.
ID: gq3t1qfI used to be like that too haha, just keep on practicing and use reference pictures for ideas and I’m sure you’ll do some cool stuff!
ID: gq5wsb4If it makes you feel better, builds like this are usually made over weeks of play and use mods to help quickly with repetitive tasks like walls. They are also mostly planned well in advance of actually launching the game, with an end goal in mind. You don't just start playing and accidentally end up with something like this.

Without knowing much about minecraft but it something to spend tons of hours on so you can take a screenshot to share? I haven't figured out the point of the game
ID: gq54y1tThere are two major ways to "play". One is to try to get the materials and equipment you need, seek out the strongholds and the nether to gain items to go and fight the "end game boss", a huge dragon of killing things in the face.
The other is to ignore all of that and build things that you like the look of. I tend to stick to this second camp, and sometimes just turn the hostile mobs off so they don't wreck everything when I'm building things. With texture packs and some of the third party lighting tools you can build some really, really beautiful buildings.
