Hello, I’ve been trying to find a pro version of a ps5 controller with reprogrammable back buttons, digital triggers, etc. I’ve been checking a lot of them, but as always there’s issues with delivery from US to EU.
Here’s the list I looked at:
Scuf - No PS5 version available. Saw a lot of people complain about customer service and build quality. Plus I don’t like paddles, prefer back buttons.
Aim controllers - Seems okay but I have a big hands and the position of back buttons is too high, would have to break my fingers to play and later go to the ER to get them fixed.
Sharqcontrollers - Cannot even open the website, haven’t really researched after that but my guess is they closed the doors.
Nagashockgaming - They don’t ship to EU but if you’re a US customer definitely check them out.
Battle Beaver - So far the most interesting option of all. Excellent build quality, saw some complaints about customer service but the biggest worry is long build time and long shipping even for US customers, you can only imagine how long it would take to get to EU. I’ll be playing with it next year probably.
Nacon - Currently have their flagship controller and I’m very satisfied with the build quality, excellent position of back buttons. Three things to look out for, the thumbsticks don’t have a lot of tension and you can easily flick over the target, R1 and L1 click sideways (don’t know how to properly explain try to find a review video) and long travel time for L2 and R2 triggers.
Collective minds - No PS5 version available. Basically an add on to the controller, similar to PS4 back button attachments but this one has the option to install mods that help with recoil, stronger aim assist and cheating BS like that. Not interested in mod packs, so for any newbs that wanna cheat this is your best bet, don’t get pissed at me if you’re using this just learn how to control the recoil of the gun. Still I’d consider this just because you can simply slap it on your PS5 and have 4 back buttons.
Please recommend some other brands that might come out with “Pro” PS5 controllers.
Thanks! Hope this helps someone.
-
Wait does collective minds have a ps5 back button attachment? I have their ps4 one and have been waiting for a ps5 one
ID: gpq0yug -
There likely arent any "pro" ps5 controllers
ID: gpqtu9uI really just want that to continue on
-
Skuf $200 top of the line 4 paddle system, one paddle died within a year can’t replace it, then one of the main buttons died the next year. Wish sony would just make a proper pro controller
ID: gprz9c9That and from what I saw customer service is very poor
-
I miss my scuff for PS4 so much after getting used to the paddles, hopefully Sony sees the demand for a “pro” controller with back buttons and makes one instead of just releasing an attachment.
ID: gppyqs8I actually mostly liked the attachment.
I’d prefer a higher quality pro controller, depending on the price, but I’d be satisfied with another attachment.
Hopefully they do at at least one of them.
ID: gpq370tAccording to a post I read about recently, Scuf owns a patent for back buttons/paddles. Which sucks cause their stuff is mostly ass. I've heard more bad than good for sure.
ID: gppvboiHope so too!
-
Evzen Elite! Got mine a few weeks ago.
ID: gppnmekHow is the build quality looking like? I see that they have paddles instead of buttons, usually prefer the buttons but I’d definitely check it out in more detail.
-
You may be able to use your Nacon with a Titan 2,
I have not personally tried it but this option may be worth exploring. -
Fuck Nacon. Had there premium ps4 controller and the triggers broke within a couple months and they refused to honor their warranty. Not only that but gave me the run around for months before ultimately telling me to fuck off. Most infuriating customer service experience Ive ever had and I have comcast internet.
Anyways, I predict sony will release either a pro controller or a back button attachment soon. I'd say that would be the best option.
ID: gpy1wisLol sorry to hear that.. I’ve been hitting mine on the desk regularly and it’s still rocking
-
It's sad that an actual good post on here won't gain traction 🙁
This is by far and away one of the biggest issues for the Ps5 right now. Sony really is missing the boat by not having an option for this at the moment.
ID: gpplg88Yeah I’d be all over a first party pro controller for PS5, there were some news about it potentially coming out. Either that or a new back button attachment.
ID: gprp2ftI think a small percentage of people want a pro controller so a post like this doesn't get a lot of attention
-
I have heard great things about battlebeaver on
. That's a big vouche for durability as cod can wear down controllers fast and many of them swear with BB over scuf. -
Bought from battle beaver customs a few years ago PS4 controller with back buttons. I think it arrived around 3 months after order (to the EU) However I remember there being a notice on their website at the time, regarding delays due to high order volumes. It was actually the manufacture queue that took long, not the delivery. So it may be quicker now.
-
Battle Beaver is releasing a PS5 controller, but as far as I know it's only pre-orders and on a limited basis. Their next pre-order is March 12th. I was looking at them but at this point they aren't letting people customize the buttons, so I'll be waiting a bit.
ID: gprz6reCorrect, looks like we all have to wait for a while..
-
I purchased a nagashock like 2 days ago. I will update you on their quality once i receiveit. It seemed like great options and choices.
ID: gppnseqTo be honest I would’ve bought it because I’m desperate but they don’t ship to EU... I’m curious tho, please let me know.
ID: gpulmseHave one, is very good.

I really hope Sharq isn't done. I ordered a controller from them ages ago. It arrived broken so I sent it back to be repaired. I haven't heard anything since. It's been a long time.
ID: gpr30x9Chargeback time me thinks
ID: gpv9rifThey went under
ID: gq89i0yI ordered a controller from them about a month ago. It arrived quick and didn't appear to be broken or anything, but there were some noticeable flaws on the controller from where they screwed into it to mod it, and I didn't like the placement of their paddles....didn't feel natural and honestly slowed me down trying to use them for Apex. I wasn't able to initiate a return directly through them because their website and social media had all of a sudden vanished, but I disputed through PayPal and got my money back last week (sent the controller back as well). It appears as though they are no longer in business now
-
I couldn't find any pro controllers, so I just bought a Xim and hooked up my ps4 battelbeaver to it, it works perfectly. There's other brands like Chronus that work as well.
-
its very weird to see sony not give two shits about making a pro controller , at the end of the day its all about making bank . they just cant see its worth the rnd and all that comes with it to make it happen. i thought when they became official cod sponsors and platform bla bla bla that would be the begining of making pro controllers but nope.
-
I love my Sharqcontroller Dualsense. Took 2.5 weeks to get here (USA), but it's amazing.
-
First game should just start to use gyroscope more. Its the closest thing to a mouse in the controller.
-
Wish Sony would explore that revenue, many peoplenwpuld like a pro controller
-
Great post, needs more traction. Hope Razer will make something again someday. Raiju was pretty good and had really good build quality.
-
Having an Aim Controller I dunno what you mean really, the ps5 controller seems a little too big for my hands with the paddles and I'm 6 foot tall..
In that controller you don't press the paddle with the fingertips because they would cramp up, but rather with the side of the finger so no matter how big your hands are you will be able to press the paddles easily
-
Astro C40 + Titan One. The best option for PS5.
ID: gptq04uCan you elaborate? Is it pretty much plug and play? Can you use the wireless dongle? Or just wired?
-
[deleted]
ID: gpt5shqSeems like you never used a controller with extra rear buttons or paddles
-
Hey.
Check out Sharq controllers. They reside in the UK. I just got my PS5 controller with reprogrammable back pedals.
ID: gpyhdezHow?
ID: gq2eo3xHope nothing goes wrong with it as it looks like sharq has gone bust, twitter and Facebook deleted
-
I always kinda liked the Astro C40, which was designed for the PS4 but is basically compatible with the PS5. However, the stick modules are wonky at best (tend to drift), and the triggers have a stop but still some travel.
Liked the BattleBeaver a lot, shipping did take some time, but the quality was great, also the individual button placement might be useful in your case.
Right now I'm using an AimController, and I really really like it. Triggers have absolute minimal travel, no stick drift or anything, and I can reach the paddles just fine, but I guess that is something you either have to try for yourself or get used to.My recommendation would be AimControllers, at least until BBC or other alternatives come up with something.
-
I got a sharq just after getting my ps5 launch day. Still works perfect The paddles could do with been a bit longer but that's preferences. Dont know whether they're still in business though
ID: gpw39xhI’ve got one too pal and yes paddles could just do with being that bit longer. Sites down so maybe they have gone.

PlayStation 5 Professional Edition.

ID: gprz3d0There’s dominator that has 2 and eliminator that has 4.
-
I actually just got a new Nagashock. My first from them. I've only had it 2 weeks, but I really like it so far. 4 remap buttons on the back and increased tension on both sticks. I didn't want to lose the Dualsense adaptive triggers so I left those stock.
-
Do the "mouse click" style trigger mods mean you lose the haptic/adaptive features of the ps5 controller?
-
you lose the adaptive triggers function. Also, driving vehicles is either 100% acceleration or zero.
-
Does Battle Beaver have PS5 controllers? I'm not seeing them on the front page
-
They do, second or third wave of orders will be available on 12th of March 10 PM CET.
-
Battle Beaver feels “really” natural, so I would wait for them. They actually have already made a couple PS5 versions if you go on YouTube. Dunno how they got it though.
-
Play claw.
-
I dont really understand. Why do you guys need extra buttons when the games are all mapped anyway.
-
Its not about having extra buttons. Playing with your right thumb assigned to a stick & 4 buttons is a terribly inefficient way to play video games. Using paddles allows you distribute that workload across more of your fingers.
-
Bruh if you don’t see benefits from having back buttons idk what to tell ya.. there’s dudes that play “claw” which is fine, more power to them. I just can’t the joystick is too small for me
-
I have recurring issues with my hands so the option to remap things to an easily clicked paddle is a no brainer. I bought an Xbox elite controller at launch just for pc games. Same with the ps4 back button attachment. I'd kill for a similar add-on for the Dualsense
