I have been trying to get a GPU from AMD direct buy in the US for a few months now and I haven't seen them do a GPU drop at their Thursday drop time in 4 weeks now. Did they say they were no longer doing them or did they move the time? I assume there are quite a few others who have noticed this as well, but I haven't heard anything so I am starting to wonder.
-
They were just snatched in minutes. I only ever saw buy buttons for processors.
ID: gqlastzID: gqlatynI used to see buy buttons, that is why I was wondering. I was just worried that I had missed something since the buy buttons haven't shown up in a month.
-
The buy buttons showed up late for me at 17:46 and were gone immediately.
ID: gqlaa6sOhh okay, I used to see them when I refreshed on the minute, but haven't seen them and I refresh way more frequently now, hmm. I guess the bots have gotten really good.
ID: gqlezozWhat time is "regular"? This is the first I've heard of a regular buy time.
ID: gqlo9u2The drops have been happening every Thursday (today it was two hours ago). Just start refreshing the main product page around 38 minutes. To avoid being banned from the site refresh on the phone and pc. Last week I heard about the drop time in discord and today ordered 6900xt. Not sure it will ship tho. Last time had issues with amd direct.
-
Yes, we’re still refreshing stock of Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards (and also AMD Ryzen 5000 Series processors) on AMD.com on a weekly basis, giving gamers and enthusiasts a direct option to purchase the latest Radeon GPUs and Ryzen CPUs at the suggested etail and retail price.
ID: gqmfmz1Can we get any info , why amd europe page does not support all european countries and been limited to specific ones?. Here in Greece amd store page directs me to USA page and ofcourse I cannot do any order.
ID: gqmk9ehJust use a mail forwarder (but of course assume the risks). I am based in Ukraine and have ordered 6900xt this way. AMD direct also does not ship directly to Ukraine.
ID: gqmhedqAt this time, the AMD.com store supports a limited number of countries although we are always looking for ways to reach our customers across the globe.
ID: gqmmnww16x 6800XT
0x 6800is it going to get better or worse?
ID: gqmv5vdThat's great to hear, thanks! Are there any specific restock times, or should I just check everytime im free? : D Want to get my hands on a rx 6800
ID: gqn6xmfthursday shortly after 17:30 CET , but good luck non xt 6800 arent really restocked
ID: gqn6u6s<3
-
yeah the last drop was a very long time ago
the 6800XT is seemingly just impossible to get, it hasn't been restocked on amd direct for a very, very long time
-
In europe EVERY SINGLE WEEK thursday shortly after 17:30 CET there is a restock. To get a card get direct buy links, example for Germany( just change you locale to for example en_EN, should be just language ):
6900xt 6800xt 6800Make a macro / programm for new tab paste your desired card (id) (DONT REFRESH THE SAME TAB) They show a server error until ca. 20 minutes before you can actually buy them. Be logged into paypal to get your adress over it, use paypal express shipping and immediately select that you have read the conditions in the bottom and klick buy. [Test it when a cpu is aviable until the last step before buying]
edit: buying a 6900xt like that is a breeze, but 6800xt is REALLY hard still without enough automatization and 6800 basically impossible, also because they don't seem to drop
ID: gqm6njeWhy don't you want to refresh the same tab and how is opening a new tab better?
ID: gqm7qf1you get redirected if you just refresh; don't
ID: gqn3txlpretty sure 6800 ceases to exist and effectively gets replaced by 6700XT
it hasn't existed for a while directly from AMD, and they offer much more 6900XT than 6800XT...seems like yields are excellent, and they're sold out instantly anyway
ID: gqn4a9iyes around 10-12 times as much 6900xt as 6800xt is my guess
ID: gqmcvj5Could you PM me a macro by any chance?
ID: gqml88uits the easiest way, just look it up. I used C With ShellExecuteA and parsing

Haha, "stop restocking"? They NEVER stocked the 6800 xt. Only the 6800 and 6900 xt have been sold at amd.com.
Maybe 5 units per drop, total of maybe 100 6800 xt's sold on amd.com since launch, just enough to avoid false advertising lawsuits. (Which they should still be brought to court over the deceptive marketing)
You can see a relative number of units sold, checking ebay after each amd.com drop, I never sse the 6800xt reference show up. 6800 and 6900xt ref models would pop up right away at stupid markup, but never a 6800xt.
Sapphire and Merc crazy models of 6800xt at $1000+ is all you get.
-
Good luck! You can do it.
-
Did they restock just recently? I got my 6800 back in Jan and it lasted for atleast a few minutes. I’m guessing that’s not the case anymore?
ID: gqlba8cCongrats man!
No they sell out so fast I don't even see the buy button anymore.
ID: gqlbnkfFuck that’s brutal. I gave up and went back to close down my laptop I was refreshing on, and out of nowhere I got notification of a restock.
This GPU situation genuinely sucks, I hope you get yours soon at the fabled MSRP.
ID: gqm41m3A few minutes genuinely sounds incredible, my experience is GPUs are up for maybe 4 seconds (timed 6900xt last week) and ryzen 7s will be up for hours, but ryzen 9s will appear to be up for 30mins-3hours but when clicking add to cart you get a message saying it's out of stock, one time I got to click checkout before getting told it isn't in stock, I think I need to move to where fiber optic internet is available if I want a ryzen 9 lol.
-
Just got a 6900xt this morning. Was following several stock alerts and refreshing over and over
-
Sry for asking here but guys I bought 5600x at amd direct buy but its still in my shopping cart and no receipt email so did I buy it or not?
ID: gqljpxgNo you didn't. If it is still in your cart you were too slow. Keep it in your cart though for next drop.
ID: gqlknnvokay than im trying again because it still doesnt say out of stock
-
The add to cart button flashed for me today LOL. I clicked but was sold out immediately. I was on their site at 11:30am refreshing
-
I got one 6800XT last week and saw it in stock this morning for 1 minute
-
Today 6900XT dropped but gone immediately oof
Amd 5600x with 5800x pretty long in stock.
-
Got lucky I was able to cop a 6900 XT this morning! Question, can I run it with 750W Gold PSU?
ID: gqls35wit has spikes but you should be fine, check here with all your power consumers:
-
I thought they just announced weekly restocks, but that since the cards were so huge there are fewer being produced. This at least compared to Zen 3 chiplet sizes and Navi 22/23
-
The 6900 xt went up for sale earlier today, around like 11:30ish. I added it to my cart, but decided not to get it. $350 more for a 10% increase over the 6800 xt is a huge waste. Still trying to get a 6800 xt..
ID: gqn5kq5should have went for it and then find someone to trade + cash
ID: gqn78mcThought about that, but I refuse to contribute to the bullshit scalping situation we are seeing out of principle.
-
I’m so sick of AMD not separating sales to different regions. You literally have people from the EU & otherwise + BOTS all fighting for cards.
This is disgusting imo.
-
Same here, I've been there on 3 different PCs across three different internet connections, only buy buttons for procs.
I got lucky and scored a 3070 elsewhere though, so I'm happy.
-
AMD should really start selling directly to gamers through their software. It’ll show AMD what their customers are doing with their cards, who is a gamer, researcher, or miner.
AMD can control the number of cards sold etc.
ID: gqlbsou... Implying that AMD remotely gives a fuck who pays them?
They don't give not one flying fuckkity McFuckerson's about who's buying.
It makes them money. It's all good for them if miners and whatnot get them.
ID: gqlfqbjActually NVidia and AMD do care about not selling to much cards to miners, but for the reasons that they do not want a flooded used marked after the bullshit mining subsides again.
ID: gqlvk7tFrom what I saw in discord channel last week actually a lot of people are getting cards. It just some of them are stockpiling them for mining purposes. It is insane to see people posting pictures with 4-5 gpus arriving to them after a drop.
-
AMD France and Germany got small restocks of the 6900 XT today. The last non-6900XT was available on Feb 11th.
-
Be luckier*
-
I'd give you an award if I had one.
-
Yeah I have thought about writing a bot, but I don't think that would end well. I think that is the next step though so maybe you're right.

Ah ok then, you know what they have done!
