THEN after you beat the story you unlock mission mode the true game. This is all I want and will gladly sink 500 more hours into. Ive literally beaten black over 20 times and beat missions an endless amount of times. 50 missions total 5 rows of 5. Beat 5 unlock the next 5 and so on. I think over the years I've sunk over 800hrs into just ninja gaiden black alone

I remember that the original 2 ran 60fps as well when they came out.
ID: gqsmxivWell, NG2 targeted 60fps and sub 1080p (maybe 720 native?) when it came out but struggled to maintain that pretty often. It still felt smooth most of the time but chugged pretty noticeably in many sections.

It's a shame that the Sigma version is being used. NG II on 360 is the definitive version, IMO.

ID: gqt2alnThere's more differences than what KaraiDGL mentioned. Enemy placement and amount of enemies is different. Less enemies, increased health, unblockable grab spam, less gore as well. All changes for the worse- the pace of the sigma games is totally different than the original designs. The games had no involvement from Itagaki (original producer).
ID: gqsmrgyThe original just feels better for some reason. It’s tougher, bloodier, has more difficult fights, and you have to manage your resources (on tougher difficulties) when deciding if you want to upgrade a weapon or buy healing items or consumables. I’ve played the 360 version over 10 times but could barely stomach a single playthrough of Sigma 2. The original also doesn’t have tacked on missions and a horribly balanced multiplayer mode. It’s just a tighter experience.
ID: gqsqc7bSuch a shame it’s sigma. Fml. Nothing will ever compare to playing the first one on OG Xbox but playing 2 on 360 at my apartment as a young adult are some of my favorite gaming memories. That game was bloody as fuck.
ID: gqsqs8eBeating the first game still remains my most satisfy gaming achievement. It’s absolute perfection. Bayonetta 1/2 come close for me gameplay wise, but The difficulty in Ninja Gaiden 1 is perfect. Hard as hell, but completely fair and skill based.

I’m interested in what they are going to do with razor edge it’s has not been updated and looks horrible. Ima get this on ps5 since I have the others on Xbox

I mastered these games before mastering the souls games. I can’t wait to replay even if they’re the sigma versions.

I’m really excited about this release. These were some of my favorite games back in the day.
Plus, this gives me hope for an eventual Dead Space master collection. Man, I miss Dead Space 1 and 2.

I will continue playing Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2 via BC. Both games are still stunning with the 4K boost and locked 60FPS. I still haven’t played the third game yet but everyone I know tells me not to worry about it. I may try it at some point still.
