So I have had my PS5 for a few months now and I think it’s really great, especially first party games, but I was wondering what has everyone liked most about theirs/are looking forward to when you get one ?

The loading times and the controller!
ID: gqt27tiID: gqtyhsgThe haptic feedback is impressive! Truly feels next gen.
ID: gqtlekoReminds me of the 360 days. I literally could not use the DS4 without grips because my hand would cramp it was so small and awkward. Upgrading to the PS5 was honestly worth it for the controller alone (well, almost)
ID: gqu66qjGot mine 2 days ago, but I was stuck in bed. For the record I was coming from a PS2. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS WITCHCRAFT OF A CONTROLLER ?? Man I love this shit
ID: gqtjvjvI had super low expectations when I first saw the controller, but after getting my hands on it, I have no complaints. I do wish more of the features were utilized by developers though! (I know, it's early - but AstroBot got me psyched.)
ID: gqtkajttry control. they use the controller a bit for guns.
ID: gqu1kjvYa control and miles morales use it but it doesn't feel that noticeable compared to astro bot
ID: gqt4gjmExactly this! I also have a Series X and find its controller in desperate need of an upgrade. Once you've gotten used to the Dualsense nothing else feels right.

The best thing about the PS5 is it doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner when I'm playing games.
ID: gqtp2vcMy slim sounded like it was gonna take off no matter what I played it got ridiculous
ID: gqu7txfAmen. I made it through FF7 but it was hard. So much love the PS5 I can finally play Ghosts and God of War.
ID: gquclzmIt might not sound like a vacuum, but the coil whine coming from mine sounds like I have another mini fridge in my room.
-
The loading is certainly faster which i appreciate. The quick mute as well when I have someone talking to me its a button push away.
ID: gqtwtq8I definitely love the quick mute!
-
Backwards compatibility! 🙂 Infact the 90% of the time I'm spending with my PS5 is with PS4 titles currently 😀
ID: gqu4xplSame here! Skipped PS4 so I now have a huge backlog.
ID: gqu5dvaThe PS+ Collection which is free if you have a PS+ subscription has about 20 games on there that are a pretty great assortment of games from the PS4 era. A lot of tentpole titles for the console. You’ll definitely get a lot out of it.
ID: gquz7mxI never had a PS system before this (I wanted one, but people told me to wait for the PS5 when I was about to buy a PS4). I started with Persona 5 (which I loved), but then moved onto Spiderman. Tackling some of the PS exclusives I missed out on.
ID: gqvpfzrWithout PS4 games PS5 would be rather sad no doubt about that.
Able to play some PS4 games better than PS4 is very nice.
Some PS4 games looks sad on a PS5 and even play worst than on PS4.

60 fps. Legitimately can’t go back to 30 now
ID: gqt2z3iIt always amazes me how many people don’t even notice a difference between 60 fps and 30 fps. In my opinion 60 fps makes the gameplay so much more enjoyable. It’s 90% of the reason why I’m getting a PS5 in the first place.
ID: gqtdd54I really notice 60 fps when I pan the camera around, it feels way more responsive than 30 fps
ID: gqtpl27I was one of those, you really dont notice if you go 30 -> 60.
The other way arround it's a different story, it's soo janky going 60->30
ID: gqu5rj1Conversely, it amazes me that people are so extreme about 60 FPS that they refuse to play games that are only offered at 30 FPS
Like. I can acknowledge that 60 FPS is hands down a better experience, but I can’t say I’ve ever been unable to adjust to a 30 FPS game within minutes
ID: gqug4x3I really wish they had given all of the PS+ Collection games 60 fps boosts from the start.
I want to play Bloodborne, but 30 fps feels so bad, when I've played most other From games in 60+ fps on PC.
I really appreciate it in God of War though
ID: gqto2fvYep, been wanting to play through HZD again, but the 30fps is killing it for me.

I love how getting a PS5 is the most challenging game I’ve ever played!
ID: gqurzx7Right? I can't get passed the first level..
-
Loading times, crazy how we went from 90 second to 2 minute load times to some games taking like 3-5 seconds. Also I love the controller, when I was reading about the adaptive triggers I thought it was a dumb gimmick, which I guess it still is, but I like it anyway. It’s immersive but never feels like it’s messing up my game and gonna get me killed. However, the drift issues I’ve read about seem serious and I hope Sony fixes them or changes something in their production process
ID: gqt5q62I love the adaptive triggers. You can imagine how big the upgrade must been for me, because two years ago I sold my PS3 when we moved to Canada, and I’ve never held another control in my hands, ever. So when I unboxed my PS5, and held that baby in my hands, I was a little boy inside again. But... when I experienced the adaptive triggers for the first time, I was a little boy inside and out!!!
My concern is not so much with the reports of drift, as with the control’s unexpected short lifespan. Every button press reminds me now that soon it would be my last. On that control, at least.

The load times and how much faster I can download games now has made it 100% worth it when I have a very limited amount of time a week to put towards gaming. Surprised more people don't talk about download speeds but with my PS4 I'd have to wait overnight to get a game installed from my library. Now I can just pick pretty much any game to play I own digitally and have it ready in a few minutes.
-
Honestly? How excited my nieces and nephews have been to play Astro’s Playroom and how quickly they hop on to it!
-
The speed man. It’s so slick. In game menus transition flawlessly. Maps load in almost instantly. Love it. Love it goddamnit!!!!!
-
I'll tell you when i get one. See you in 2025!
ID: gqt3l5whey, get in back of the line there bud.
ID: gqt4hq6But, but, but play has no limits.
-
Watching 4k @ netflix and prime without any problems. And damn the loading times. Oh and the silence of it is amazing. My old ps4 was basically an engine everytime I played a game.
-
The fact that it never sounds like a jet engine...love how quiet it is. Also the controller is amazing.
-
How snappy and lag free it is and the OS is pure HD goodness.
On my PS4 if I went to watch Twitch it take 15-30 seconds to load from OS to stream with lag. On 5 it’s like 3-6 seconds zero lag.
-
you really have to appreciate the cooling system. last night i did a 4-hour session of FF7R playing off the disc. when i turned off the PS5 i put my hand on top of the system (i have it lying sideways) and it was cold like it had never been turned on in the first place. even the fans on the back of the system were luke-warm at the most
-
The FPS and loadingtimes.
-
The UI. PS4 had a criminal lack of RAM. Playing any resource intensive game tanked the UI into oblivion. Trying to send a message before a game started on Siege was a coin flip on whether your PS4 would lag so hard you would get kicked for inactive, or would just crash outright.
ID: gqu8rldMan... the UI feels like such a convoluted mess to me. At least it’s a fast and snappy convoluted mess I guess.
ID: gquc46qI don't think the layout is great but it's far from convoluted, in fact I feel it's overly simple.

Loading time and controller
-
Controller and Astro's Playroom
-
The controller and the load times and the fact I can play my PS4 stuff with no damn problems like damn some of the games ran like garbage on my slim
-
The fact I even have one on it’s way.
-
It's quieter than my PS4 and things load much faster.
-
60fps and loading.
-
Got to be the load times. It's lightning-fast.
-
Fast menus I used to hate trying to start/join a party when playing call of duty so slow!
-
The controller the controller the controller. Visuals and load times are fantastic but that controller is the best I’ve ever experienced. SNES controller all the way to PS5 this controller is the best
-
Definitely not the Game Base area. Why can we not have parties and Friends in different areas? It’s so difficult. Don’t get me started on whatever they did with parties. Everything else is great.
-
The fact that I was finally able to get one, completely unexpectedly.
-
Being able to utilize my 4K tv, Load times, share functions, and streaming
-
Had mine for about a week now..the controller is amazing the ui is amazing astro playroom is amazing loading is amazing..and the fact that my external hard drive from my ps4 still works so I don't have to put all my ps4 games on the ps5(amazing)
-
I’ve been playing remnant on plus with a friend, it’s really great on ps5 I think. Best coop souls-like shooting experience I’ve ever had. I don’t think it has haptics but the rumble feedback is really good. Such a cool game, it’s like the writers of stargate went on a bad mescaline binge.
-
Controller. Its so comfy, even as a guy with big hands.

I really can't stress enough how much I like this controller.
