Worst time to die for a card.
ID: gqxdvpvID: gqxwmcvPerhaps OP is omitting that he was trying to sell it off to mine slavery. Poor card committed sudoku
ID: gqy9v8hNo plans on selling this one. 🙂 Since I really like to keep this as part of my collection. 🙂

Always loved the R9 Nano. Just something about the size and the power at the time.
ID: gqw1ag8What happened to it? I still have mine in a box with waterblock.
A great GPU which when upgraded with the official UEFI bios was able to hit Furyx clocks + 15% overclock.
ID: gqwdqynRefuses to post pass BIOS once drivers are installed. This happened to my mined rx570 before (though this card was never used for mining)
ID: gqwgdq4Im with you, so small and so fast.
Just cost to much for me at the time.
ID: gqxs09gAt the time, I wanted one for a tiny build but then when they showed up in stores in Canada at $800+, I just couldn't justify it.

Okay, this one hurts 🙁
ID: gqwe5iiI know. 🙁
ID: gqwoz2yHow do you add those tag in your name?
-
..ooh no! has it rendered its last frame?

just to join the chain.
Sadly respects are passed on.

And with all the GPU shortage happening right now, it really sucks to have a broken GPU. 🙁
ID: gqx47hjdamn, it really is
now i REALLY feel bad man, i have a gt740m but its a thing at least
i hope you will find a good and cheap card soon

I was always curious about this model, as it has a "custom" Asus-branded PCB, rather than the AMD-branded one that all other Nanos use. Are there any changes at all to layout/components, or did Asus just take the reference design and simply manufacture it in-house?
ID: gqwdz4aHmmm. Haven’t really compared the two but exterior wise, this asus version as a reverse pcie 8 pin slot and a power led. But afaik there is a minor difference between the two internally and it runs on a different bios too (this one cant read the the updated uefi for the nano)

Reminds me of the nonexistent vega nano or whatever it was supposed to be called. Sad that neither GPU maker wants to do small versions of their stuff.
ID: gqwu2fgI don't think it's possible to do these anymore with the flagship GPUs. Too much heat is output when you're looking at 300-400W chips. At best, you will see small cards with CLC. I think the days of small air-cooled GPUS for anything but midrange and below is over.
ID: gqx042aIt’s possible, if they wanted to get a really good mid ranger. A RTX 3080 laptop is only slightly behind a 3060ti. The 3080 laptop GPU could easily be configured for a Small single fan 150w design.
ID: gqy6lwlFury-X was a 280W card, and Fury Nano was a 180W card. You can do this each time the flagship is running out of the efficiency sweetspot.
ID: gqyakb5As long as it uses hbm for its memory then i think it should be physically possible.
-
This is one of the cards I wished I had bought when they launched, supply for the Fury X and Nano seemed to dry up after a few months.
Same with the Radekn VII

Have you tried reflashing the bios?
ID: gqya4x1Only comes with its stock bios. Havent tried it yet since i feel it wont help anyways. It has dual bios and both of it doesnt work already
ID: gqyf0jxThat's a shame. You can try to reflash the stock bios as a last ditch effort.
-
Beautiful card, i like small formfactor cards like this, especially white. So sad it died 🙁 have you found a new card yet?
ID: gqyaco8Not yet. But i got a couple of other spare older card with me. Think it can still last me till gpu prices normalize
-
Have you tried the oven?
ID: gqwdmwiStill thinking on doing it. Kinda want to leave it as is first to preserve what is left with my card
ID: gqxdr5yDon’t use an oven you plan on using for food in the future though 🙂
ID: gqx4cdaIt won't get damaged if you do it right. Lots of tutorials out there and many successful cases. Give it a shot, it won't die twice lol
ID: gqx4irvs/he is right, you should try it
I seen some folks baked and actually worked
you have nothing to lose

RX 550
-
I always wanted one of these cards to do a sff build. Rip little buddy.
ID: gqxwlvwUnless you're going really small, you can use a normal sized GPU in SFF builds.
-
I need to upgrade as well, I felt this
-
Worth a cleanup and a mount.
You could get another mobo and see if you could use it there. perhaps one of those old office PCs fro example.

How good is the RX 550 4GB on these days games say like i want to play Rainbow six siege with 16 gb of ram already installed?
ID: gqwt61rUse Vulkan and the game will work just fine. Probably less than 1080p and Low settings, but it will be fine.
-
Im sure it lasted longer than my "new" GT710 i bought last year.... 6 months in it checkerboarded.... (Not sure of the official name of this problem, but it would display black squares in a checkerboard pattern over what it was supposed to be showing
ID: gqy5ibiMy GTX570 and GTX1070 still running strong and it's being used for EQ every day.

Tell me about it, mine died january 11st. Let's just say I'm not a gamer by any means
